The eleventh April morning back in the center of Tuzla, we meet a woman who tells a little of what happened in the city during the war and his life now.
We leave a little free time and decide to walk around the market, very distinctive, you can find everything from cell phones to fruits and vegetables, clothes modern and traditional items.
Later the women who participated in the event is the eleventh of each month, many women find themselves and wander the city streets wearing pillowcases with hand-embroidered the names of their loved ones died in the massacre, all this to make no one forgets the people who lost their lives, is a way to emphasize their suffering and the damage that was caused them. Bring those pillowcases is a symbolic gesture but it is an emotion, probably will never understand the pain that these people still try it now but to reflect on death.
Quick lunch and bus trip to Srebrenica, now a town of only 5000 inhabitants in 1995 was affected by the war, the first thing we see coming down from the bus are an infinite number of TOMBS ... a vision that makes you cry your heart ... and right there in the cemetery, we met the mayor that he was glad to see that guys like us we want to know the story of the massacre, of seeing the world destroyed and poor, and bring those images with us forever. Huge blocks of stone engraved with the names of thousands of deaths that have been unearthed from mass graves, found and buried in that huge lawn are arranged in a semicircle. The peak level of excitement around the trip was visiting the factory that was the seat of UN peacekeepers during the war, now a memorial museum, a warehouse cold despite the outside temperature was about 15 degrees when dominates the silence, everything remained as it was black except for two small rooms in which a state has placed a giant screen on which it is sent a very sad video in English shows interviews of some mothers who have lost their husbands and sons died or disappeared in the war, young survivors who remember the massacre and talk about it, people who hope that among the hundreds of bodies found in mass graves to be rediscovered a loved one. In the other room in some glass display cases there are some objects found dead (for example, a pair of glasses, a cigarette holder, a ball ...) and brief description of the object and the person to whom it belonged. During the return trip by coach we all thought we had seen all we indulged in moments of reflection and even some tears, it's really terrificante.La evening to relieve tension after the dinner at the hotel we went to a concert Dubioza Kolektiv, a group Bosnian (Admission is only 2 euros) in a nice, very full indeed full of people who danced and raged. Sleepless night for a chat and a classic last night the walks.

April 12, 2008: On the morning bus back to Sarajevo, a brief visit to the barracks of soldiers of SFOR, Italian soldiers who welcomed us and explained their mission and their mission in Bosnia. Lunch at the barracks and return by plane from Sarajevo to Turin. Personally a return was a bit traumatic, return to our world, understand how lucky we are and how some things are absolutely useless and superfluous. was a fantastic experience I had fun with other students, I understand in part what poverty and suffering I felt intense emotions that can not be explained in words. I wrote this diary because I also wanted to help and advise you not to forget, visit these places, I know that there are tourist destinations, is not the trip to the tourist village, is a seaside disco but it's a place where you can fun growing up and thinking!
