Hvar island, trip in Croatia

10 days passed in Hvar island.

 

1^ giorno

We left by car from Mestre, stopping for lunch in a Crevenicka Gostionica where we ate fresh fish and then Seny we have deviated from the coast to take the new highway that took us up to Split. the inauguration of the new "autoceste" was Sunday June 26 for which we have not paid the toll and arrived in Split we found ourselves in the midst of the celebration. The show was simultaneously in Zagreb and Split to celebrate its completion of the work that makes a lot more 'close to the beautiful Dalmatian islands.
We had difficulty 'finding a place in hotels because of the holiday and also because' we had little desire to look tired as they were. We found rooms at the renovated 4 stars but expensive.

Second day

In the early morning we went to port to catch the ferry to Hvar, but unfortunately the race of the 10 cars not carrying so we had to wait for the 14th We spent the morning in the Market Split (very good prices), a beautiful bar frequented by local authorities with a view of the port and made a meal of ham dalmata (incidentally the Istrian
e 'piu' good) in the alleys of the city 'old and then we got on the ferry (for 5 people and the cars we paid 350 kuna about 50 euro)
In two hours we arrived at after Starigrad coastal islands in particular Brac, and then after 15 km of well-kept streets and breathtaking at times we arrived in Hvar Town '.
The center and 'pedestrian everything that we are two-way streets for cars around the village to reach the hotel, apparently it seems there are no cars on the island, beautiful!.
We had booked the hotel Amfora with a splendid view of sull'arcipelago Pakleni (in Italian Spalmadori name that derives from the spreader to craft pitch) hotel un po '70s style indoor pool with 25 meters, indoor basketball and volleyball, fitness center, casino etc.. in short, the typical hotel in the former Yugoslavia but well placed in the vegetation for which no tune at all in at about 1 km from the center but with a fantastic seafront walk to reach it.

Stop in the island

The living room and 'elapsed between swimming in a sea, excursions to Pakleni especially Palmizana a corner of paradise and the small islands and Jerolim Stipanska for nudists, turns Hvar, with its stalls selling mainly lavender plantations which are around a bruja.

Ultimo giorno

We took it with some 'nostalgia for the ferry at 11 am and from Starigrad in two hours we returned to Split.
The journey on the motorway and 'been quiet the traffic was very low, no tir (a marvel compared to Italy), the motorway stocked and clean, we made a stop in Opatija on the Kvarner Bay with no problems but you could get in the evening in Mestre .
