Prague is truly a magical city .... architecturally and atmosphere that you find more and more of Paris (the European city that I love more than anything else) ... apart from tourists!
I saw the first time to spend the end of the year, and in winter by car from Milan with a group of friends with whom we rented two apartments for a few scenes from the streets not in perfect condition and has been all but frozen passed without damage.
The holiday has cost very little, the people of Prague are very hospitable and the time (with even the Iron Curtain in life) to supplement meager wages rented their homes, becoming host to turn to relatives.
I went back to a distance of 13 years with my husband and charm has remained intact (always too many tourists aside): a difference of '91 where we were in the center this time we were on one of the seven hills on which the city lies because although a little out of hand (the underground works fine), the hotel cost is significantly less than in the center. To see many things:
- The most beautiful square in Prague is the Old Town Square, also known as the Old Town Square. Around the central monument of the religious reformer Jan Hus one another Baroque and Gothic churches, the symbol of the square is the astronomical clock tower that stands out on the town hall to amaze tourists from four centuries is the procession of Apostles coming out every hour from quadrants blue and gold and offers itself to the square;
- Castle (Prazsky Hrad) is located on a hill on the left bank of the Vltava. The majestic fortress - renovated by Maria Teresa of Austria at the end of the eighteenth century - is practically a city within a city which includes several buildings, including the Royal Palace, residence of the kings of the city and the majestic St. Vitus Cathedral, which the rulers collects the spoils;
- Another symbol of Prague is the Charles Bridge which connects the two banks of the Vltava and is always crowded with vendors and tourists for its entire length, there are thirty statues and expiring on the one hand and the other with two massive towers;
- The district Malastrana;
- Kampa Island, a small strip of land surrounded by the waters of the stream of the Devil and those of the Moldova is still an old mill running.
A vibrant and culturally active Prague is beautiful in every season: do not miss the chance to escape for a weekend.
