Winter in Prague: final considerations N.2

NOVOTEL PRAHA CITY: nothing to say and criticize, convenient and central location in New City, a mere 50 by Metro IP Pavlova, and by tram. 22 and 23 (those classsici and comfortable to visit Prague, especially Malastrana), parking (fee), good restaurant where we dined the night of San Silvestro (45 euro per capita, good value for money, "value for money the Americans say). The only flaw: the physiological sullen young Czech waiter and receptionist, typical of Prague under 40 years (from 40 up changes everything, especially the ladies and the elderly are mezzaetà gentilissimo, carinissima available and understand why the tourists that are being made to wealth and strong currency) and the fact that the wi-fi Internet in your room or in common rooms and the computer station in the area bar are paid, the stratospheric cost of less than 7, 5 euros an hour! What inamissibile in a grandecatena Novotel hotel as the French group Accor (See also Mercure, Ibis and Sofitel and other minors). But it is their policy. ACCOR group. In USA, North Europe Scandinavian entered these services now in common use are free or at least very accessible to all in major hotel chains of any level, from 5 stars to the motel!

PRICE AND CONVENIENCE: ’ us out of Euro area and this is an advantage and disadvantage at the same time, the hotel prices have risen dramatically and now are in line with other major European capitals. So I'm talking about loved ones and the big multinational chains already present in Prague with diverse offering of hotels for all budgets, which are no longer competitive as it once! Then there are hostels for young people and species of B & B, Cheap. But we will see a pair of 50-year olds in ’ youth hostel? Already done, but yes in the days of universities ’ and ’ all stages abroad.
In terms of restaurants, taverns and bars are still saves and good. Czech crown (if you pay with their currency, or Euro ’ with the Czechs if they take advantage to excess) is changed to about 28/30 for 1 euro, ie 300 SEK = 10 euro. And with 300 crowns you can eat and well, obviously not overdo. It ’ natural that there are far more expensive restaurants, but with lower costs than our in Rome and Milan in particular, the most beloved Italy ’ d for public spaces.
On the streets has always been tormented by the change in currency and abusive individuals (call them) who also offer 36 Czech crowns for 1 euro.
The ticket time for transport, tram or the Metro area, costs 20 kroner (0.70 euros) and day 24 hours valid everywhere costs 80 crowns (almost 3 Euro) and thus is very convenient.
Very cheap and interesting purchases of modern and antique objects varies not cheap and bazaar for tourists, in the many shops scattered across neighborhoods and usually managed by personcine of a certain age, very nice and helpful (even at the bargain price) especially older ladies.

Winter in Prague: final considerations N.3

ITINERARY UN PO 'DIFFERENT: first get (if you have not already from) a good guide, but very good and is offered free to the Tourist Office (try and knowledgeable enough to ask), or the visual and easy sold for example in the Cathedral Tyn in Old Town Square just 6 euros. There then remains beautiful as I remember, is not the usual book of old pictures and discounted!
Then get an ad hoc route discovering all the houses and mansions with coats of arms and / or signs placed above the main portals of entry: you will discover wonderful things, a delicacy for avid digital photographers. Will find plenty in the area via a Nerudova Malastrana (home of the three violins, the chalice of gold, etc. of the sun.) In the Jewish quarter and close to Wenceslas Square. Prague is a wonderfully baroque city, but a Baroque - Rococo little - very elegant and very determined!

Prague IS TEACHING FOR THE CITY 'OF ITALIAN ART: MONUMENTS AND PALACES AND EXCELLENT Restored ILLUMINATI (at night for example the Charles Bridge and the hills of Malastrana and Castle - largest in Europe, by the way - or the Square Old City are lit magisterially) CI DAMAGE THE SENSATION THAT COME WITH FATE IN A MAGIC THEATER, BUT THAT 'AND' REALITY '. SEEM TO SPELL THAT ALMOST ALL THE PALACES, CHURCHES AND MONUMENTS WERE SEVERAL renovation and restoration in an instant SPELL FOR THE magic wand. Scaffolding NOT VIEW ANY CURRENT OR WORK, EXCEPT FOR SOMETHING IN PERIPHERAL.
SOME CHRISTMAS TO THE SNOW AND MANY MARKETS (which of course have nothing to envy the famous and our famous South Tyrolean and Austrian markets) in the main squares HAVE THE REMAINDER OF THE CROWN OF A CITY Scenography 'UNIQUE, ELEGANT AND THAT IN FEW Amazing YEARS HAS DONE ABOUT GIANT STEPS FROM THE ACCOMMODATION 'HOTEL, THE AVAILABILITY' TOURISM, TRANSPORT AND THE OTTIMI THE PERCEPTION OF A POLICY AND PHILOSOPHY DELL'OSPITALITA 'TOURIST THAT BEN HAS INCLUDED THE MANY BENEFITS OF THIS INDUSTRY THAT LEADS MONEY FRESH AND GOOD, FA PROLIFERATION AND TRADE HELPS IN THE GOOD AND THE LAST PEOPLE TO LEAVE THE CZECH AND POVERTY boredom 'DEL TRISTE decades EXPIRED. THE Prague SPRING OF 1968 BY JAN PALACE (which has dedicated a square and a monument in the Jewish quarter) ALMOST TO OUR DAYS.

Malastrana, ILCASTELLO AND THE CATHEDRAL OF SAN VITO, VIDRHANY, CITTA 'VECCHIA, CITTA' NUOVA VIA THE QUARTIER PARISTSKA AND JEWISH: beautiful city in the city incantata species to be observed at sunset from the hill of Petrin or the Piazza del Castello in Malastrana. We had the fortune of some snow on the streets and on rooftops and a wonderful winter sun which rose brushed watercolor sunset Prague!

SMOG AND PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION: nell'asburgica like the imperial Vienna (visited on the way for the return in Italy) the traffic is very low, however, sliding and orderly and "educated" and therefore little or smog, but the substance is of particular ' no bus. Public transport is based on the Metro lines and especially on the famous tram run for ever (at night replaced by the many night lines always on rails that ensure a safe return home to the most avid night). Indeed trams are the best way to make a first sightseeing of the city, especially the two lines 22 and 23 will take you far beyond Moldava on the Castle, the Strahov Monastery and Loreta and on the Petrin hill and then down to Malanstranska Namest and the Charles Bridge.
So the Italians, especially in Milan and Rome, we have much to learn, that we have little furbescamente wildly and replaced with trolley buses and trams pollutants bus, and then lay the blame at the traffic and air pollution of PM10 dust so that we give blocks traffic Sunday and weekday stupid, unjustified and not resolving! Or at least justified only for the political and economic intrigues of the palace ...

In short, A GREAT AND BEAUTIFUL CITY 'BUT TRUE MEASURE OF A MAN WHERE AND WALKS THE WALK AND' THE BUSINESS 'HIGHLY RELAXING
AND PERHAPS THE BEST METHOD OF VISITORS. SO LONG 'organize LOGISTICA THE ITINERARY!
ONE WINTER WARNING: I lastroni ICE EVERYWHERE ubiquitous DESPITE THE WORK OF CLEANING COMPANY CONTINUES LOCAL MUNICIPAL (in a city 'in the grip of the frost from October to March April) ARE AN INSIDE for pedestrians. BUT THE MAGIC, THE MAGICAL Prague SNOW IS ALSO SOME RISK!
