Coming back from Cape North. Traveling across Denmark
After traveling about 3,000 km without stopping by mutual agreement we decided to spend at least 5 days in Copenhagen ..
We needed it .... the trip to North Cape was beautiful but a bit 'exhausting.
We settled into a campsite where we rented bicycles, which are the best way to visit this city.
Only been days of relaxation and of course we were also free in the small republic of Christiania.
It is a community of a thousand people born in the days of flower children. Survive with its shops, its factories, the stalls of hashish and marijuana and its oddities offered to tourists. Was a free zone, anarchic, a little 'out of time. The territory of Christians was a public park bounded by walls and hedges, probably won a job around the sixties. Was a concrete sign of tolerance and civil coexistence possible between two different worlds. Coexist perfectly with the classical Copenhagen that throbbed around.
What a beautiful place ... shame that they have dismantled.
