A daytrip to Camargue, France: Les St. Maries de la Mer, Aigues Mortes
This Sunday is the turn of the Camargue! The Stefy has failed to find it is you that these days decide the destination of many trips to be done on site now has chosen the camargue. Tourist guide to the hand starting destination St. Maries de la Mer, the first town you'll find coming from the Camargue in Arles. The road that descends from Arles to the sea makes you immediately understand the type of landscape: fields of flowers, wetlands covered with tall reeds that oscillate in the wind and many horses and bulls in freedom! Very picturesque! Going into the city (famous for being the meeting place of the gypsies) now go along the seafront to see the famous beaches .... not bad! The tour continues in the country in the narrow streets full of stores ... the only annoyance are the gypsies who continue to try to "treat yourself" to get the medals then the money in return. We decided then to proceed to the other town in the Camargue, Aigues Mortes, the famous! Upon arrival, about 30 KM, just Aigues sports his impressive beautifully preserved medieval walls, you enter the drawbridge and the city shows just how magnificent an extremely well-preserved town (much more beautiful and interesting of St. maries de la Mer!) with beautiful shops and art galleries. We stop in the main square to eat at a Spanish restaurant (the proximity to the spain is felt) to recharge the energy and then continue the tour of the city. In the late afternoon after a little 'different shopping (crafts and biscuits summer) we decide to return to Aix en Provence. Even today, the Provence has been generous to beautiful landscapes and beautiful city, the magnificent south of France! Hello Max
