A Sunday at Avignon.. Provence, France

AVIGNON is the first excursion on Sunday that I have given since I moved to live in Provence (just over a month).
Toward the 3 o'clock from Aix en Provence (my new town ') and finish after about 45 minutes to AVIGNON, the city of the popes, made famous by a song ...... stupidissima sur le pont d'AVIGNON on y danse tous en ronde ........!!!
The center (tourism for instance) is enclosed by imposing walls very well preserved, there are free parking outside, but I have not yet lost the characteristic of Milan loan and therefore 'I prefer to go by car into the wall until Palace of the Popes in the car park which is located just below.
Just come out from the parking place is shown in all its glory and its grandeur .... magnificent!
We make a trip on foot to the old town (very small .... it turns into half an hour comoda comfortable) and we realize now that the town is well kept historic buildings .... redone, clean streets, beautiful shops. .... insomma a city perfect for leisure travelers.
The inevitable trip to the famous Pont d'AVIGNON features ..... because standing still only half the Rhône (Rhône), you can 'walk to the end of the bridge and you have a really beautiful view on both the historic town on the banks of the River.
Unfortunately starts to rain, then we decide that it is time to go inside the vast Palace of the Popes, we come before them a nasty surprise ......... is already closed !!!!!!! ! .... and are only 5 in the afternoon !!!!!.......... Patience will be for next time, the only live less than an hour's drive !!!!!
Then return to Aix en Provence happy tour of the beautiful Sundays, just to be sure that the friends to find a trip to the Palace of the Popes not run!
During the way the trees are already blooming and spring seems to be already arrived in advance ............ wonder that the land of Provence !!!!!!!!!!!!! !
