A very brief stop in Nimes, beautiful city of southern France

Brief stop in Nimes during a transfer in the Iberian Peninsula for a tour. We had entered France from the border in Ventimiglia. Tired of the long journey and wanting to stop to stretch our legs we decided to do in Nimes. I was with a friend on my Fiat Tipo. At Nimes stayed just long enough to look at the historical center but did not go to see even the great Roman arena. Our goal was in fact see the Maison Carree, one of the best preserved Roman temples. After visiting this monument the road again for the Iberian peninsula in Spain by entering a pass in the Pyrenees. After the tour of the Iberian Peninsula (see related routes) are in France. We stopped to sleep in a "Formula 1" of Aix Provence and from there the next day we returned to Italy.
