A visit to Chambery, chief town of the Haute Savoie. Trip to eastern France

Chambery is the capital of Savoy, a town of 50,000 inhabitants, more than 10,000 university students, surrounded by a ring of mountains capped in these days of clouds. To the end of September is already very cold.
The old town is almost all pedestrian central Square of the Elephants, a very strange fountain depicting the four great elephants, firms in India in honor of a citizen of Chambery. All around the winding streets and alleyways, wide boulevards, squares especially busy on weekdays. This is not exactly a pleasure trip, we accompanied our son in Savoy, who will live here for 9 months, with the Erasmus project. Back in June to resume it will be our goal.
