The center of Nice is the Place Masséna built starting dall'800. The square, together with the Promenade du Paillon that leads to MAMAC (Musée d'Art Moderne et d'Art Contemporain) and in the Pharaonic Acropolis congress center, marks the boundary of the city with eight-twentieth la vieille ville.
