Aix en Provence

We go to France and the highway does a God of wrath .. every 10 km there is a toll of about 3 €, we must do more than 200 miles and then do the math ..... configure your browser (fundamental) and take the state and avoid any kind of toll. Pass through a very picturesque villages and views. We eat a sandwich in the middle of the French countryside and arrive in Aix en Provence, where we camp is a place in the Arc en Ciel, but the camp is full, then go to the nearby camping Chantecler, where we book a night for 28 € for 3 dog and electricity. We are tired but after a little refreshing swim in the pool and shower we start walking around the visit of Aix en Provence, Provence beautiful city, whose beauty was immortalized by Cezanne. We stroll along the Cours Mirabeau, the main street, dotted with outdoor tables, visit the Place de l'Hotel de Ville, with its charming cobbled courtyard and the charming Place d'Albertas. Around 20:00 we meet our old French friend named Florence that is not seen in a long time. Sipping a glass of wine rose on one of the terraces at many stages back over the past ..... amazing how fleeting time .... We are tired en camping in the back where we cook a pasta dish with a sauce Barilla ponto Pecorino ... W Italy!

LES BAUX DE PROVENCE - ST. REMY DE PROVENCE

We woke up around 08:00 and after breakfast we leave the campsite and head towards Les Baux de Provence, a beautiful village perched on a rocky outcrop, with a castle and old houses .... a return to the past .... sin for too many tourist shops sprung up along the main street which ruin the atmosphere of this magical place ... At about 13:00 we go away from this country and we are moving towards the nearby town of St. Remy de Provence. We find in the camping place Pegonas, where for 32 € are in place and electricity. The campsite is located 500 meters from the center and is super organized, with pool, hot showers and clean and perfect for the camper .... We visit the town of St. Remy de Provence, a typical Provençal village, with boulevards lined with plane trees, cafe terraces and squares that are home to fountains. Solita baguette head ... even if half of our go to Ugo that wags his tail and happy about the 16.00 return to the campsite. Swim in the pool, shower and relaxing evening with meat and salad with rags bought in a supermarket .... We enjoy the RV .... reading, chatting in the shade of a tree in the campsite. Tomorrow? We expect the story .. you go to Arles ....

ARLES

A thought about my grandmother died a few years ago ... ... today was his birthday ... hello grandma Mimma're always in my heart! Let's start intone the 9:00 am and arrived in Arles, avoiding toll roads around the 10.20. We book a night at the campsite Les Roisiers, € 30.00 and this will be a good choice, thanks to hot showers and swimming pool. Only problem is that about 5 km from the center. We decide to walk the walk, it's hot but luckily ventilated, we come to Arles and the town's center wins immediately. Its color and vivacity have something magical. We visit the beautiful amphitheater and theater (€ 6.00 for the two entrances). The amphitheater with its elegant witch we literally ... wonderful! The Theatre it remains only part of the steps, some of the columns and the orchestra. We eat a baguette bistro ion of the center, visit unfortunately (opens at 15.00) only outside the church of St. Trophine and 15.00 back to the amphitheater to watch the spectacle of gladiators for the truth ... a small thing ... . At around 16.00 we arrive in Les Alycamps, one of the most prestigious cemetery of the West (€ 3.50). The place is beautiful. Still walk to the center and Hugh with his great charm is by slaughter of hearts between the French .... around 17:30 we set off for the camping ... (more 5km of sweat and toil). We arrive, swim in the pool and light dinner with pasta and sauce .... the face of the diet ... Tomorrow we leave for Avignon.

AVIGNON - BOURGES

This morning around 9:00 we set off for the Avignon, the papal city. We leave the camper at the free parking Ile Piot, where a free shuttle bus takes us to the center. The city offers an exceptional historical and artistic heritage. We walk towards the Palace of the Popes and we suffered an unwelcome surprise, the entrance is forbidden for dogs, so we are forced to return to the camper and leave the legendary Hugh Beddu in the camper .... our faithful friend and he looks puzzled with back pain in the heart in the center. The queue for the Palace of the Popes is long enough ... after about 30 minutes waiting for our turn avvirva and pay the dearest ticket (€ 12.50). The building is shown with its austerity and grandeur on the outside, but disappointing 'in it, too stark and bare of furniture. After about two hours to visit, leave the palace and visit the famous Bridge of St. Benezet (€ 4.50). Again we are a bit 'disappointed, especially for the interior too bare. Let's take a ride in the center of Avignon, which is characterized by its squares, fountains, terraces and the inevitable carousel. It's hot and around 13:30, we leave Avignon to stop after an hour in the yard of a supermarket to eat something. We face a long trip and very tiring, Bourges 600 km, 600 km of mountains, curves, paths, and unfortunately also starts to rain. The camper also has problems also, when you scale from 5 to 4, the motor slide dangerously forward ... but then we fear the worst 'things for the better and take up the camper works again. The rain stops falling, we have dinner in the middle of an unknown French village, we find a gas station open and pass in front of a fantastic castle in the middle of a lake, stands this fairytale castle. Around 2:30 we arrived exhausted at the free parking for motor homes used Bourges! What a day!

BOURGES - CHEVERNY

Wake up at 8:30 and after a quick breakfast we depart to visit the Cathedral of Bourges, the Cathedral St. Etienne, an architectural gem from the stunning stained glass windows, inscribed in UNESCO World Heritage Site. In short journey to the camper, a postman bike is hit by a car in the middle, hits his head on the car .... running to help and, fortunately, what remains is fear ... and the postman gets up and starts . We are campers and again after about an hour we are at Cheverny, we leave the camper in the parking and enter the castle (€ 7.50). Unfortunately I have problems with the camera you can not read the DVD, hopefully it's just a disk problem. The castle of Cheverny is a sober and elegant building and offers a nice park with a shelter that houses 90 dogs "intersections" between Fox-Hound Puitevin English and French. Alejandro is sad because he lost in the castle garden in the shape of a small puppet seprente. We leave the castle and take back the camper. We stop at the Camping Chateaux de Chambord Bracieux two steps. We shower and then taste of good chocolate in a show just outside the camping ... In the evening, risotto and cheese .....

CHAMBORD - CHENONCEAUX

Day of castles, lost in the streets of the Loire. The temperature is definitely abbassta and you wake up with a slight cold. Breakfast and departure to the nearby Castle of Chambord (€ 9.50) and parking the camper € 6.00. The fortress stands with her white pinnacles in the middle of the green park, giving visitors a fantastic play of colors. What Chambord is the largest castle in the Loire Valley and its interior offers plenty of rooms to visit, all rich in paintings, statues and plush furniture. The view from the terrace is wonderful. After about 2 hours to visit we leave satisfied and aware of seeing something unique. It 's time for lunch and have a little peckish, we stopped in a village in France and eat a sandwich dipped it lverde plain of the Loire Valley. At about 15:00 we arrive at Chenonceaux, where she awaits another castle (€ 10,50). Even in this beautiful and unique elegance, too bad for a part covered by a veil for the restoration. The interior is very attractive, especially in the kitchen. Visitors are very numerous and sometimes hard to get from room to room, they should not let all these people and especially should not allow tour guides to speak to your group for an hour in a room, not allowing others to see if fatigue or shoving. Among the people stopped two girls wearing the jersey of legendary Roma .... Photo Giallorossi sisters together! Daje Dajeeee Rome! We leave the castle and we enjoy the gardens, the first in the elegant Catherine de Medici, then the labyrinth, where Alejandro is blow up a French girl and the garden full of flowers and various kinds of tomatoes. At about 18.00, after shopping in a supermarket and having spoken to my father, we arrive at the campsite Las Acacias, in the village of La Ville aux Dames ... 6 km from Tours, we visit the city tomorrow. Have dinner with steak and salad ... the happiest of all? Ugo course ....

Tours leave and stop for lunch in a park .. baguette to repeat and then continue to the Castle of Azay-le-Rideau (€ 8.00). But small castle which offers' an exceptional, in fact, the fortress stands on the River Cher in the middle of a park ... taking pictures repeatedly. Around 15:00 we start the allla time in Brittany. After about 450 km we arrive at Concarneau. We stop at the campsite and at reception Lochrist something unique happens .... ask the usual information, pricing, availability, electricity and so on but then the boss comes out of the campsite, a man in his fifties, obese, with a red face , staggering drunk because ... there is in fact taking place in a camping holiday and we see many bottles of wine and beer are everywhere. The owner tells us to go camping, take advantage of everything and then tomorrow we would have recorded! But we honestly say that we must stay one night! ... And he replies: "I'm sorry but there's a party ... do as you wish now that I just can not follow you"! We choose a camping spot in .... ... we are virtually alone in the middle of an acre of land .... beautiful ... with Hugh that runs from side to side! For dinner, pasta with pesto ....

We woke up around 08:00 and after breakfast honestly pay the camp (€ 22.00) and begin our tour: Concarneau and instantly the spectacle of marine life opens before us, seagulls, beaches, boats and the ever-citadel with its irregular streets delights us and takes us back in time. The camps on the sea are known to be more expensive. We have dinner with chicken and salad and a delicious French cheese with herbs. In the evening we go for a walk along the city beach. The water is not cold, climb over some rocks and we enjoy the colors of the sunset ... Hugh is overjoyed and runs left and right, back in the camper tired. ST. MALO'

We wake up with the bitter surprise of rain, we have breakfast and we hope for a better weather, but the sky is gray and does not bode well. We go in search of umbrellas and then leaving for St. Malo '. The town is completely destroyed in August 1944 has been rebuilt so well that visitors easily find the spirit of history. We leave the camper in the parking Paul Feval (€ 7.20 per 24 hours) and a free shuttle bus we head toward the center of a French national. We do not want to speak ill of the French, but unfortunately we have to confirm what others have said .... we were nationalists, proud, they refuse to speak other languages from French superiority and deal with tourists and I can ..... mind the dear Albertone singing ... But Who have you ever sent to that country? ' And vaaaa and vaaaaaa. We continue the visit and take advantage of low tide to visit the ILE DU PETIT BE ', an island that is home to a strong (€ 5.00) and mainly offers a unique view of the bay and the Ile du Grand Well, where is the tomb of Chautebriand and where you can enjoy a wonderful panorama. We are told that if we do not want the sea swallows the camper we must resume before 18.00.Passeggiamo along the Grand Rue, narrow road uphill, lined with ancient houses and tourist shops. For my personal taste I must say that Mont St. Michel to date salt to the liking of the charts this journey and reach the top of the hit parade. We walk along the walls and our eyes to those jumping from the architectural beauties ... km scenic beaches and islands that emerge from the sea for a few hours, only to be swallowed up again! Fantastic! We enter the Abbey (€ 8.50) and is a blast from the past, meeting room, the cloister, the prefettorio, buildings, crypts and the church are heartbreakingly beautiful ... We visit only from the bell tower of Sainte Catherine, a tower covered with oak and chestnut wood Eglise Sainte Catherine. Prior to joining this church await the end of a funeral and see so many people crying partly ruined our day. The church is very different from the others we visited, the aisles are covered by a vault of wood, resting on oak pillars. Really beautiful. We leave after just 2 km Honfleur and cross the Pont de Normandie surprising, a masterpiece of art and technical audacity, bridges tie rod is the longest in the world. Despite its light weight can 'withstand the fierce winds and shock with the largest cargo ships. The bridge is beautiful and evocative, the cross armed with cameras and camera. The toll is € 5.00. Take some pictures at the Palais de Justice, with a beautiful facade and visit the Place du Vieux Marché, a picturesque square, which was where the prisoners were put in the pillory or executed in the Middle Ages. Right here was burned Joan of Arc, and this is the Church of Sainte-Jeanne D'Arc, the modern structure, with some great windows and the shape of a ship. PARIS

The alarm clock is at 7:30, breakfast and then take a train first and then the metro to get to Paris. First impression? ' We do not understand anything with transportation and no one speaks or pretends not to speak English. We go to a stop in the center of Paris, eager to discover the city. For tickets, we recommend the day pass which costs € 10.00 and allows you to use all means of transport in the city for 24 hours. We go and we are in Place Chateneuf, beautiful and elegant. After about 1 km of roads and buildings and the first image of the Eiffel Tower from a distance we are facing the entrance of the Sainte Chapelle (€ 8.00). The impact is exciting, the 2-storey structures it has a chapel high as 7 meters, full of relics and unfortunately souvenri shops that are a real slap in the face! And a glass top that offers the oldest in Paris. Beautiful but let me make the Roman Empire, nothing to do with "our" Sistine Chapel "! We leave and head to the nearby Cathedral of Notre-Dame, one of the most famous cathedrals in the world. From layman can tell me that the cathedral disappointed and frankly I preferred to those of Bourges, Rouen and Tours, to say nothing of the Basilica of St. Peter. We visit the inside and I expected much more, because the building is quite bare and I continue to be perplexed and disappointed! ! I was expecting so much more! We try to climb the tower but well-paid 8 euro to go up there seemed to be a robbery and we refused .... about .. you want to light a candle in the cathedral? Take out 5 € .... in the face of the sacredness! We leave the cathedral and the weather alternates between rain and sun, walk along the Latin Quarter, which is constantly crowded with bars and restaurants. We stopped for lunch in a small greek restaurant ... one of the few local where you spend very little € 19.00 for meat, potato, water, coca-cola and salad ... (x 3 people). Let's get out of the metro off at the Trocadero and the Eiffel Tower we enjoy, this technological monster right in the heart of the city. the sun comes out and the sky clears, and then we take advantage, going up the elevator to the top ... (€ 13.10) . After a queue of about an hour we can get .... the elevator stops before the second floor and the view is exceptional. Paris is stretched for many miles showing all sides, the domes of churches, bridges River, the skyscrapers of the modern! arrive until the third floor and up the elevator is nothing short of awesome all over again ... with the camera and then we enjoy the view from the third floor of 276 meters . Rain rain rain ... ... .. on the Paris flood ... primeore decide to wait for the afternoon to go out and enjoy the Eiffel Tower lit at night .... I'm writing now are 12.02 and out the camper continues incessant rain and the sky did not bode well! We try to 14.00, despite the rain to come out. We head for the Montmartre district and visit the beautiful Basilica of Sacre-Coeur, characterized by its beautiful dome and its white color. Council to visit the crypt and climb the tower, where you can 'enjoy an exceptional view over Paris (€ 5.00). We leave the basilica of cracks and eat chocolate and cocoa, very good and we turn to the quaint village of Montmartre, a village in the heart of the metropolis, with its Place du Tertre, where the tables are crowded open-air artists who propose landscapes and portraits. We say goodbye and go down in the Montmartre district of Pigalle, an area dedicated to the nightlife of Paris. Memorable photos in front of the Moulin Rouge and one thing happens right here really very nice .... you ever a guy who asks you to give him a photo? Surely you ... and so far everything ok .... but a guy who asks you to 50 photos all the same? To us this has happened .... I'll have 'taken to a French man about 50 photos, all the same, always with the same position ... laughter will go down and then by metro to the Place de la Concorde, immense and beautiful square hosting an obelisk, Fontane, statues and is surrounded by palaces and gardens ... beautiful! Sins of the rain ... walking along the Champs-Elysees, one of the most famous of the world, from very large boulevards, elegant and full of shopping malls .... it's cold, it seems to be in November to buy ... Begona Alejandro a giocchetto and even a scarf, we reach the Arc de Triomphe and why we avoid soaking up and we just view it from below. The Arc hosts since 1921 the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier chilly ... we refuse to go back to 20:00 and around the camp and decide to abandon the idea for today to see the Eiffel Tower lit up at night ... We wake up and even the weather fails us ..... Cilo black and light rain ... improvement pero 'than yesterday. Breakfast and we go a little 'depressed to see what' missing in Paris .... the question is ... the Louvre Museum or the Louvre? Next to us there is a family of Bergamo ... family who will accompany us for the rest of the holiday and will be a kindness and a utility extraordinary ... Thanks to them we solve our doubt, Hamlet, Paul (the husband) it says: "The Louvre? A brick ....." Interesting, but the Natural History Museum in London is from another planet .... We leave the museum and the metro go to visit the Louvre Museum just outside the palace, beautiful, was for eight centuries, the residence of kings and emperors. The pyramid was once criticized, is very beautiful. We take some pictures and we move to the Opera House, a building with a monumental façade with marble sculptures, golden .. By underground go to visit the Hotel des Invalides, which is characterized by the cannons along the ramparts, a long facade 196 meters and a beautiful courtyard of honor ... Within this complex is the Eglise du Dome, a dome with 555,000 gold leaves ... The interior disappoint. The Napoleon's Tomb is located in the Museum of the Army, but the entrance is 9 € ... too much and then forget it .. With 10 € instead we embark on the legendary Bateau Mouche .... and back over Paris and its monuments by river, taking photos ripetizone and finally comes the sun! . E 'night .. go back to the campsite, the rags with meat and salad! PARIS: EURODISNEY.... DON'T GO THERE!!

After breakfast we thrilled with the family of Bergamo dell'Eurodisney at a time. Take the train ticket and we recommend a particular type of ticket that would ensure the 20% discount on entry to the park. The journey takes about 50 minutes and on arrival we have the first surprise ... the discount is only for a ticket to both parks in one day ... virtually impossible to visit the same day two, however, and although we accept ..... the discount rate is the dearest ... € 53.00 per adult and € 45.00 for children ... nonsense! We go first in the Walt Disney Park and the row for each game is monstrous ... ... 90 minutes for each attraction, we lose patience and see the show first Animagique, where music and dancing will retrace the history of Disney films .. We go out for long lines and do not do practically anything! We can see the attraction of Armageddon bad .. a bit 'of explosions and fires, and nothing more .... Let's try again for a ride to the park but we can not do anything .... go to another park, the nervous Magic Kingdom and even here the lines are hallucinating .... unfortunately you can not get 2 million people when there are 40 rides in a row .... After breakfast we meet with Paul and Antonio with their jeep and set off to explore the nearby Annecy, the Venice of France. Annecy is a beautiful town, situated on the lake, with narrow streets and old quarters largely pedestrian entered the waters of Thiou and Fasse that feed the lake. The lake is beautiful, and very pleasant walk through the Old City. The day was fantastic with a bright sun and a cobalt blue sky that makes it more enjoyable and colorful squares ... Annecy leave and return to the campsite where we get our costumes and we move to Aix Les Bainz and its huge lake of Le Bourget. Ii walk along the lakeside, with its bars, benches, trees and games for children ... this time we do not do the bath, the water is far dirtier of Lake Annecy and decide to let it go. Walking we see a nice sports center with swimming pools, waterslides and beaches on the lake. Admission is € 5.20 but is denied entry to the dogs. Then I, and Ugo Paul Beddu back to camp and let our faithful 4-legged friend to our campers to return to the sports center. We do note, put off, but here's another unpleasant surprise ... no lifeguard tells us that it is not allowed to swim in the pool with my shorts ... they want the suit to slip .... I can not believe it, I ask explanations, partly because no one brings more to slip back to custom ... poisoned the ticket office and simply say: "O my ridate the money of the ticket or I take a bath"! Eventually I giving new money and I, and Begona Alejandro and arrive at the campsite for a nice refreshing shower. ROME

We start not really early, about 10:00 we are on the highway and walk along the High way of the sun, from north to south ..... there is no traffic or at least is located just across the street in the direction The journey takes the opposite ..... quite regularly, even if the camper from signs of slowing down, heats up and continues to have problems with the gears. At 20 km to go we are already off the motorway, this is the camper that hangs again .... tow truck again, but 'this time we are lucky, the insurance covers 20km and let the RV, empty it of our stuff directly to the owner .....

HOME

When you return from a trip, always blend of mixed feelings .... happiness, sadness and nostalgia take over the human soul .... without precedence to each other, but share equally our feelings !
There are many pictures that I carry inside of this trip ... the disappointment of Euro Disney, the coasts, monuments .... but 'what' that is hard to forget is the very simplicity of the trip ... a glass of red wine , laughter, friends, the many faces met by chance, the camping, the road ....
The secret remains the same .... even in the land of Napoleon and of the Sun King, you can find the human side of each trip .....
Goodbye France ....
