Start quoting the title of an old film of the 50s ..
... Paris because even the most skeptical conquest ... though .. the month of April has always been synonymous with the beginning of spring, we will punish with days of bitter cold and rain .. not really suitable for those who want to stay out all day.

04.04 Arrival in Paris Beauvais
flight cheap enough (but that obviously affected by the high price of oil) and good connections to the city center. The bus an hour after the race ends in Port Maillot and from there it continues with the metro .. two changes of lines suitcases in hand and we were at our hotel.
But how do you spend time at the hotel when there are 10,000 things to do?
We start the holiday from the most charming spot .. The towers of Notre Dame, many steps, but well worth it to climb up the mountain for a close look at the spire of the cathedral and the famous monsters or gargoyles do frames a perfect view of Paris.
Buy a single ticket for multiple days, it has the ability to enter and exit from the main museums and monuments without paying entry or queuing miles, and thanks to this we pass to cross the threshold of Saint Chapelle (a real surprise the day) just before closing time.
Without paying or waiting it can take a quick look at the Conciergerie and then resume walking without stopping and without a goal.
Desire to run out of breath? The top floor of the Montparnasse Tower is the place to see Paris at 360 ° to the Eiffel Tower at night, illuminta by hundreds of twinkling lights .. that cover it ... type sequins.

05.04 Now in Versailles.
The visit of the palace is a fantastic experience as stressful, the numerous school trips and groups of adults drive virtually blocked access to salt, lengthening waiting times and creating files on each corridor, useless chatter, cell phones, laughter, noise, people everywhere .. not exactly the best atmosphere ..
The bad weather greatly reduces our visit to the gardens, and when the cold wind and the rain is added .. racing go up again on the RER .. destination ... Musee d'Orsay.

06.04 Day of the Paris Marathon.
Witnessing the passage of the athletes under the Pont Neuf, two of our currently running and finishing the race with a good time, congratulations!
Unfortunately there are so sporty and I prefer to continue to visit the city in the company of a friend, who chose to start this day an uncommon destination, the cemetery of Pere-Lachaise Cemetery, where lie many famous people such as Chopin, Proust, Oscar Wilde and Jim Morrison.
Lunch at the Latin Quarter, a Greek taverna is just what it takes .. million calories to counteract the cold and recover strength before reaching the nostalgic neighborhood of Montmartre.
It takes just a delicious French dinner in a local Place de Tetra to celebrate the conclusion of the marathon, before noticing that .. it snow .. more than "April in Paris" ..

07.04 The Louvre.
The monster-sacred of all museums, a place where you go without knowing when you exit.
A must see that even non-art lovers end up visit.
And art lovers like me? After a while 'go crazy .. there really is "too much" of everything,
people included.
Imagine what it would be nice to walk the halls without all this confusion, without the throngs of disinterested that they are only there to photograph the Mona Lisa .. without having to enter and succeed every time you change wing.
The afternoon is usually changed dramatically ... all in La Defense! The beautiful modern neighborhood!
Le Grand Arche, complete and concludes the historical axis of Paris, creating a perfect perspective on the Champs Elysees and Arc de Triomphe. From above, the Eiffel Tower and Montparnasse, are perfectly aligned .. as if they were really the one behind the other.
To finish it off ... (And considering the freezing temperatures ... not exactly encouraging) grant us a night on the Bateau Mouches tour through the bridges and the illuminations of Paris. Classic.

08.04 Eurodisney.
What we need! A day of pure relaxation without flux lines underground, or cultural visits.
Just fun .. every now know why it is important to take lightly!
This park is a child again, everything is perfect and dramatic, there is music everywhere and visitors of all ages.
When the park is closing, we return to Paris .. time to go up at sunset to the top floor of the Eiffel Tower. Appointment that could not miss ..

09/04 Saint Denis
Small trip outside, leaving the capital, to see the cathedral where they are buried much of the kings of France. From Clovis to Louis XVI, the monuments are grouped around the apse of the church.
The exterior may seem rather stark, but the interior of this building is very impressive.
Almost time to go to the airport .. just one last visit to the Wax Museum Grevin .. very kitsch but very well cared for, will certainly not regret his "cousin" in London .. indeed .. I think also a lot more organized (and certainly less expensive ..).

Time to go! When you're really good time flies ...
