Easter 2006, I decided to pass it on vacation in the most romantic city in the world: PARIS. Me and my boyfriend have booked flight + hotel with breakfast for 5 nights to € 500.00. As money has gone well: hotel between 2 stations of 2 subway lines near Place de la Bastille, region de l'Operà modern, very nice called Campanile Bastille: the prices are very accessible, friendly people, clean, excellent breakfast!
Starting on Wednesday April 12 with the plane from Malpensa of 7:20 (levataccia) and at 9.00 we were already at the airport of Charles de Gaulle! The temperature was only 4 degrees above 0! So do not take the season! PARIS has the time pazzerello!
I have lots of public transport with relatively low prices! Trains depart from different leading to different areas of the city: RER at a price of € 8.00.In station there are many automated machines that allow non-queue.
Arriving at the metro with bags posiamo and we throw ourselves into the city. We were so full of energy that we walked up to Notre Dame. Advice to eat, go in the Boulangerie (our bakeries) with € 3, take a good baguette in half within 1 meter with lots of things like fresh salads, chicken, cheese, tomatoes. From Notre Dame we change important in the first quarter of PARIS: the Latin Quarter! Filled with restaurants of every sort: Spanish, Japanese, Chinese, Italians. From here it goes to the famous universities of the Sorbonne, which was surrounded by police, armored vehicles because it was in full employment against the precariousness of lavoro.Qui will be happy superfans of the models of Star Wars, Star Trek, super heroes of all kinds around because This university is full of craft shops only and exclusively to the sale of these things! Our walk continues until the Pantheon.Visitatelo! It is worth it. But even the little church that comes out on the left! Inside it can not be photographed, but it is spectacular: the style of the columns is like that of the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona!
Along the main street in front of the Pantheon have the entry (one of many) of the beautiful Jardins du Luxembourg: there are forests, vialone trees, tables with chess, rides for children, chairs available for everyone, fountains, lawns. A harmony of nature! Clearly, then, we stopped for a break, since we walked like crazy! We returned to the hotel for a shower and we went to dinner at a place that board (it's near our hotel, near the Rue du Chemin Vert) and is called "CAFE 'DE L'INDUSTRIE" means the place is particularly great, good food, normal prices and is always full of people (children from 20 to 30 years) with jazz! (go to see the bathrooms!)
Of course the second day LOUVRE TO STAGE! We arrived early enough and in fact, there was still a crowd of people to enter! For everyone from 25 years down ALWAYS show an identity card because it always pays much less (in other museums). What about the Louvre? E 'magnificent! Mysterious, fascinating! We went to see the things essential and important, why else leave with a headache! Obviously the party that I have has been lost: the whole Italian sculpture, the Gioconda, the Nice of Samothrace, the Code of Hammurabi, the Venus of Milo, the French sculpture (the part illuminated by stained glass windows of the pyramids), and other important paintings . After this beautiful scorpacciata of art, we went to the Opera. Unfortunate that at that time there was nothing that interested me to see, but enjoy to see some show of ballet or opera tickets because there are really low that you can afford even the young and the poor mortals! Of course, next to the Opera, there is the famous "Cafe de la Paix" often quoted by Franco Battiato: an ultra-chic!
Day Three: the area of destruction of Pigalle! But before this we went to make a visit to the Musée d'Orsay, because we took the tickets the day before. Tip: buy tickets at Fnac, although cost 1 euro more, do more than 5 minutes in a row! The Musée d'Orsay you can run everything with calm because he is little and there are all the wonders of impressionism french! Afterwards, we went by subway to the exit right next to the Moulin Rouge: day and night change literally! We got into one of the many narrow streets that lead, in my opinion, in the most beautiful, ancient and fascinating for PARIS: MONTMARTRE! For those who saw "the world famous Amelie" I understand! Obviously we have to Climb the stairs of the Sacre Coeur! Among the other was on Good Friday and just went to church, you kicked out immediately! From the Sacre Coeur, you can get lost in the square of artists PLACE DE TERTRE where all exhibit their talents. This little square and narrow streets that are connected are all full of beautiful shops. Hence there is a path that goes down is called Via artists where you will find a boulangerie, which is the corner, and the baguette is exceptional! If you head towards the bottom, coming to 2 mills famous de la Galette. Then moving on the main street you will find the bar Amelie "Les deux moulin. Walking, always, like madmen, we arrived at the center say Pompidou.Che Pompidou Center? E 'una costruzione alien, futuristic, very beautiful. Entry clearance is expensive and there are exhibitions of avant-garde visual art, in fact I and my boyfriend we left tears laughing because we did not understand NOTHING of what we saw! So ask first exhibition! (there is a spectacular view!). On the evening of course, we returned to dine at Montmarte. But first we did the tour in Pigalle between sexy shop to make us 4 laughs: it was full of tourists who buy cavolate to give to friends. At night this area comes alive with people, places (obviously between shop and sexy lap dance) strailluminati like a small Las Vegas. We are moving towards Montmarte because I read a very special place to eat the bourgignonne. It's called "Les refuges des Fondues. The place is a hole! There are 2 tables, and eat with people who do not know! The owners are mad! Here bourgignonne eats only meat and cheese, give it to drink in a glass bottle and included in the price c 'is a very good chocolate cake! All at a price of € 16 a head! Very little, because as a full exit bignè cream! Consigliatissimo.
Next day the palace of Versailles: wind, cold, blacks Nuvoloni! Here another tip: on the subway selling a "package" to Versailles: roundtrip train reserved + entry without a € 20 column. DO! E 'vero! Column do not! We had 3 people in front of the entrance of Versailles! Vesailles half was closed for renovation (thank goodness that I had already seen to be small) Here you see the splendor of the time! In the evening we went to eat in the Latin Quarter in a French restaurant of which I can not remember the name! But the French are very good to cook the meat! For 2 nights I have taken the black pepper steak! A BIJOUX!
Last day unfortunately: we go to visit the Sainte Chapelle: wonderful! It could not miss the cemetery Pere Lachaise. This place out of any time, any place, like a tale by Poe with screenplay by Tim Burton. Here lie the most famous artists, writers, musicians in the world, from Chopin to Oscar Wilde to Jim Morrison. At the entrance of the cemetery, take a map of cimitero.Attenzione ... the map is done well, but the graves are anonymous
