DIY magical journey to the discovery of Brittany and Normandy.
Ryanair flight from Venice to Paris Beauvais for € 162.00 in 2 / r.
Alamo car rental company with enoleggioauto.it for a Peugeot 207 new € 365.00. We have covered almost 2000 km. The highways are nearly all free, except in the case of Rouen. The fuel costs more or less as in Italy
Booked hotel on Booking.com:
Etratat: € 53.00 Ambassadeur hotel without breakfast nice and central.
Coutances: € 59.00 with colaz Etap hotel. modern and essential.
MontSt Michel Le Saint Ubert colaz € 71.00 without. 2 km from the mountain.
St.Brieuc: Premiere Class € 39.00 with colaz. a bit 'spartan.
Quimper hotel Escale Oceania is € 60.00 with colaz.carino and center.
Vannes: € 51.00 with colaz Quick Palace. modern and essential.
Rennes: Hotel le Sevigne with colaz € 82.00. cute and downtown.
Rouen Hotel le Relais de € 57.00 with 2 Rivierers colaz.in center.

We were able to see everything as planned, everything went smoothly. Atmospheres, landscapes, people, everything was perfect. We were in France many times, but never this far north and we were fully satisfied by this holiday for the first time without water. It 'nice to go to the restaurant and no cover charge, always find a jug of fresh water available, the menu at economical prices.
What can I say?? A bientot France

Fecamp-Etretat

Withdrawn the car move towards Fecamp, stroll along the promenade to see the highest cliffs in Europe. Continue to Etretat, climb the cliffs, on both sides of the beach, unfortunately the weather is cloudy, but the show is a must. We dine on the waterfront, the first of our holiday galette (crepe is a kind of salt that is stuffed with anything, the "complete" also provides the egg).

Honfleur-Bayeux-Arromanches le Bains-Utah Beach-St.Mere l'Eglise-Coutances

Second day, this will soon movimentato.Partiamo from Etretat, cross the Bridge of Normandy, to arrive at Honfleur, a small village with colorful houses. We continue to Bayeux, the Gothic cathedral is amazing and we eat the galette No. 2. Today is a beautiful sun! We stop at Arromanches, one of the landing beaches, the sky suddenly clouded and pulls a strong wind. We proceed to Utah Beach, the sun is hot, endless walk on the beach, waving American flags everywhere. Short stop at the Eglise St.Mere reaching out in Coutances.

Granville-Mont St.Michel-Cancale

Unfortunately it is raining in the morning already, we come to Granville, but getting out is almost prohibitive. We continue to Mont St. Michel, and there is a flood. We park just below the mountain, we all just soaked into the center of the village .... and to think that we had specifically booked the hotel 2 km to leave the car there and do it on foot. We climb to the abbey, always under the flood, we can see the immensity of the tide as long as the camera leaves us stranded. Short stop at the hotel to charge almost e. .. ... to escape the clouds continue to Cancale where the sun shines ... (and are 50 km). Enjoy oysters on the banquet of the port, to try if you are not too squeamish to the dish that is pseudo-washed: 4.50 € for 12 oysters (+ 1 free) + 0.50 € for the opening and the same for lemon ..... not to be missed ... as the sight of the boats at low tide. Let's go back to Mont St Michel which is already evening, hoping for a dry and evening walk, but just go down the car starts to rain .... ... away!

St.Malò-Dinan-Fort La Latte-Cap-Frehel-St.Brieuc

St.Malo arrive soon, the weather is uncertain. We climb the walls and all we walk, the center is a bit 'chaotic. We then proceed to Dinan, a town very pretty and well maintained, with beautiful half-timbered houses. The next stop is Fort La Latte, ocean views and sunshine. Hasty excursion to Cap Frehel (we regret a little 'there were not more). St Brieuc is disappointing as the Premiere Classe hotel .... but something should go wrong!

Douarnenez-Audierne-Pointe du Raz-Quimper

We arrive in Douarnenez, look towards the beach .... and it rains.
We continue to Audierne, beautiful village with a small harbor in a bay .... and it rains. Another galette, this time from the watered cider, apple brandy, a distinctive flavor ... but you had to taste it!
From Audierne we head towards the natural park of Pointe du Raz, we get that there's fog, with scndiamo kway and umbrellas, drizzling! After half an hour's walk, aided by a cold wind, the sun comes out shyly and then the sky turns a blue exciting: these places are a paradise of nature! See the headlands, islands Located aside, the hidden beaches, moors .... smell the charm of these places. We continue to Quimper, the hotel is downtown, so we visit the city before and after dinner.

Concarneau-Pont Aven-Carnac-Quiberon-Vannes

We stop in Concarneau, a village perched on a small island, surrounded by walls. We continue to Pont Aven, where we find a costume party, the Queen is elected, there are bands and songs in Breton language, does not even seem to be in France.
The next stop is the megalithic sites of Carnac .... but it's raining! Direction of the Quiberon peninsula, it is Sunday and there is a tremendous tail, but it pours! Ceases for a moment, we go down, at least for a photo, we all have time to bathe! Route to Vannes, there is a spectacular sun, leave the car a little 'far from the center, walk, have dinner, 500 meters from the car coming down a flood and our small folding umbrellas are about to give .... we arrive at hotel well "wet".

Morbihan Gulf-Pont Navalon-Jossellin-Rennes

Let's take a driving tour along the Gulf, we arrive at Pont Navalón, spectacular views, now it's sunny. Making the boat ride seems a bit 'risky, so there is the sun but not too hot and takes a strong wind. Begin your journey to Jossellin approach and we stop to visit the castle of the same name, really interesting. We continue then to Rennes, we park under the hotel and go downtown for dinner.

Fougeres-Caen-Cabourg-Rouen

We continue from Rennes to Fougeres, there is a castle to visit and a nice tour of the town, drizzling a little. 'Stop in Caen, disappoint a lot of traffic and a bit 'of chaos. We want to give us a view of the ocean and we are still in Cabourg, spectacular promenade. Final purchase all the famous butter cookies. Even in Rouen, the hotel is close to downtown so we dine just below the cathedral.

Paris Beauvais

It's the day of return after lunch, and Rouen ..... let along the road that leads us to the airport we still have the opportunity to see another castle (there are several in this direction). We come to Beauvais, everything goes faster, Ryanair brings us back to Venice on time.
