A small town on the lake, beautiful, friendly, simple, not too busy and July are not yet crowded by tourists. I liked it for its simplicity and beauty, the lake at this very dynamic tourist town which has several restaurants and other premises in the center.
Savines has a small and picturesque town center, the square of the church has the sight of this modern church that stands in its beauty, tall and white, square-shaped but particular. Also in the village square there is the Hotel de Ville, colorful and cured, the fountain in front of City Hall gives a touch of beauty and refinement.
There is a souvenir shop and a bar up on the square, with a beautiful view from the gazebo in summer. From the center, you can 'see the lake, huge and beautiful especially in the evening, at sunset.
The main street coming in Savines is very flowery and cured, the tourist office is located on this street and the hotel where I stayed was at 500 mt. from the center. The center is a bit 'uphill, indeed we are in the heart of the Alps. Savines is connected to the other side by a long bridge over the lake, the bridge is very popular and busy. Some small beaches neat and organized lies near the center, the town has a lot of nature on the shores of the lake. and 'a quiet place to rest and that is good for nature tourism in the evening there is a lot of life but a pleasant walk from the center to the lake is very popular. There is a sailing school and a pier for the tour of the lake by boat at about 600 mt. from the center.
