Surely if the weather is nice, everything is more 'nice, especially when you go around to visit cities and tourist attractions.
From Embrun I expected much more ', I had always spoken very well and unfortunately it was raining when I went ....
It 'a beautiful town, large and equipped with everything you need but a little' I was disappointed, I expected more 'on the artistic and historical landscape. The center is meager, local shops on a Sunday in July were almost all closed. Carini lookout points as the city sits on a rock, and cute too few historical monuments including the Cathedral, the Tower and the Maison des Chanonges, the garden with the monument to the poet Hvgves Clovis, the ancient houses of the historical and the village square.
The center was bare that day, few tourists, pubs dehor open but closed, shops closed and rain.
The City Hall Square I found it pretty gazebo with flowers, the fountain is a square wide and scenic, historical. The streets are narrow and the houses high on the sides of streets, squares and simple all around the French Alps.
Not much to see or at least we have not found, the most 'historic is the Cathedral, the tourist office was closed .....
What to say ..... Perhaps most 'picturesque was seeing a sliver of Lake Serre Poncon from the lookout between blacks and threatening clouds and some sunshine lonely ...
