A trip to Berlin, some months after the fall of the famous Wall. Former DDR
Made this trip when this part of Germany, despite already fallen a few months ago the Berlin Wall was still DDR In fact it was not ratified the act of unification of Germany but between the West and the East had been abolished borders. Travelling by train with a friend and we came in by train ferry Gedser in Denmark. The ship landed near Warnemunde, was a hot day in late June and I remember the beach bathers. The train fell from the ship proceeded to Berlin Zoo Garden. We arrived in the evening in the capital of East Germany but we moved in the West (West Germany), the station Zoo Garden, where some Italian guys with whom we had made the acquaintance offered us accommodation in a hostel where they stay. Near the station watched the imposing bell tower that still has signs of a bombing. We reached the hostel after a long stretch on the tube, was immersed in a park and made us come from immigrants. We slept on the floor. The next morning we returned to East Berlin with the meter to see the Brandenburg Gate and the famous Alexanderplatz with the universal clock. We went in a grocery store to do some shopping then, the station resumed the train to Czechoslovakia (then known So why was not the separation between the Czech Republic and Slovakia).
