A visit to Mainau, Germany, at the fabulous flowers' island

Mainau is a beautiful island on Lake Constance on the German island, just above the eponymous town, where he was made an immense flower garden with walks that develop around large colorful flower beds, a greenhouse for tropical plants, the larger "butterfly house" of Germany, a miniature railway, a rail between a nature full of colorful flowers.
The island is easily reached by car using the road L219, the Mainaustraße which is just before the ferry port at Constanta and other shore of the lake.
Behind the island, reachable only through a pedestrian crossing, there are no problems for the car parking is available as prepared for this large area, with signs in order to remember where the car was made.
The park entrance fee but the island is to visit this place worth the toll claimed.
Once inside there are bars and self-service can rest and then seeds, bulbs and various souvenirs for us in time to relive the beautiful place visited.
The park is well kept and offers walks among colorful flowers and many varieties.
Do not miss the "house of butterflies", the greenhouse, with 27 degrees and humid, where you walk among the tropical vegetation and many butterflies flying all around us, beautiful, flying between us, eat with us, that mate among us, showing their evolution of life, from green colored caterpillar to butterfly.
A Mainau we went there April 30, 2008 and was part of the itinerary programmatoci to know the Black Forest and the nearby Alsace (other journals), starting April 25 by Marcon (Venice) and falls on May 1 after covering more than 2000 km , all by Brenner, Innsbruck, Konstanz, Freiburg.
No accommodation booked, all found no problems, depending on where we were, the emphasis on type B & B room with private bathroom and breakfast.
A rich breakfast in the morning, an afternoon snack and then dinner with my legs under the table for some good little place to learn about the local specialty, a solution that until now has allowed us to travel a lot visiting, photographing without limits time of holidays, not giving up the local cuisine that is often lost with the package tour and in particular without bleeding our portfolio.
