For the deck of 25 April we decided to take a trip to visit Europe. Whole? Well .. yes! If you go to Park in Freiburg, you can tour around the old continent. Europa Park is a theme amusement park the largest in Europe, and each zone plays a country with attractions, shows, roller coasters, restaurants, etc. .. Fatigue and just one day to visit all. Despite the rainy day we all enjoyed very much and recommend it strongly. I shall not dwell on the park but if you want to know more, the official website is: www.europapark.de.
In the remaining days of vacation we stayed in Freiburg, the city's main area of the Black Forest (Baden-Wurttemberg). It 'a beautiful city, surrounded by greenery and with a high spirit ecologist: the historical center is pedestrianized, along the boulevards that surround the center, there are up to 20 underground parking spaces, along with the entire road network both internal and external to the city , runs a network of cycle paths, where many cyclists are truly the masters. There seems almost another world, though not far from us.
The center of town is typically medieval and winds around the square "Munsterplatz" that welcomes the many architectural treasures including the Gothic Cathedral and the House of Commerce (Kaufhaus), with its characteristic red color and painted sculptures in the windows. Along the streets of the old town, strictly pedestrian, flowing water channels created during the Middle Ages, with hydraulic function fire that today constitute one of the characteristics of this "jewel city". A day later we have dedicated to the Black Forest on the road of the Clocks, which affects several countries where local crafts are specialized in the production of watches in cucu. You can find all the shops and laboratories, but the largest clock cucu the world is a Schonach. Is practically on the facade of a house, with the mechanism inside the house itself, open to paying the ticket 1 euro.
A Furtwangen we visited the museum the clock is very attractive for large than for children.
The final day on the way back we stopped in Lucerne in Switzerland. Unfortunately we spent little time in order to go exploring, but what we saw made us understand that a whole weekend for you is certainly not wasted. We would have liked to linger more tables to the bar overlooking the lake, crossed by two beautiful and ancient bridges one of which wood and covered, but we enjoyed a sandwich at the lake with the swans that were to claim their share of lunch . Along the streets of the center strictly pedestrian, so we saw an alert to the fine for a cyclist, we admired the two squares and ancient buildings painted, and finally we had a look at the city from above. We walked the city walls, built in the second half of 1300 and we got into the top of the towers restored and open to the public greets with a panoramic sight, a beautiful and elegant city.
