We spent a week in Bavaria: two nights in Monaco and then we walked the Romantische Strasse, passing a series of beautiful and medieval villages.
In Monaco we arrived after almost eight hours of travel, because a lot of traffic on the Brenner found. We stayed at Nymphenburg, just after reading on this site the story of some guys that were there .. and we were good.
Monaco is a very nice city, in the main square there is the Rathaus, at the foot of which we found a kind of celebration, where he drank beer and listened to music coming from the stage.
For our trip to Bavaria I have been very useful site tuttobaviera.com, where I also found a description of Monaco and, among the many things I was curious about the presence of lions, statues made post to celebrate the World football and have not been removed ... there are many that adorn the city and I really liked a lot!
I am not telling all the monuments of Monaco visa, but I can not emphasize the feeling that we both had a beautiful destination for people: there are cycle lanes everywhere, traffic is not as terrible as ours, the people is quiet, the means of transport efficient. To enter the subway there are no turnstiles, but a kind of punching, but all ... stamp your ticket as we had seen in Vienna, the newspapers can be bought directly from the cut transparent boxes that are in the street, and everybody pays, takes a only one copy ... I think that in Italy, unfortunately this is not possible ... and these issues say a lot about the level of civic education of a people!
Monaco left after two days, we reached Rothenburg and from there we fell far the Romatische Strasse until Füssen, where this road has its end.
These are the villages that we have reached:
Rothenburg: the village is more beautiful, very, very distinctive, so much so that at times seem fake, and is surrounded by walls and walked to the center has a beautiful square with Rathaus (obviously) .. the houses seem to be such as they were in such a 600 years ago and the effect is truly impressive. We also visited us the famous shop dedicated to Christmas and open all year, really spectacular, it seems to be really in the land of balocchi! To change the whole genre, we also visited the Kriminal Museum, museum of torture but actually describes Coemar museum that collects testimonies of the history of law and in part it is also true.
Dinkelsbühl: Dinkelsbühl to arrive while it's raining, then buy a map of the city tourism office and follow the usual percorsino (even in Rothenburg we did the same thing) that takes you along the walls, it makes you enter and exit the doors of city and the Bavarian houses. Let us stop at the museum of the third dimension: the bilgietto not cheap (8euro) and all'internop find a variety of optical illusions, posters, three-dimensional play of light and image .... and leave after an hour with your head running, perhaps for fame, so we buy another brezel.
Nördlingen: here we spend a night in a hotel inside the walls, very beautiful and modern, converted from a former convent. Nördlingen was raised in a crater created by a meteorite millions of years ago and has remained almost perfectly roronda shape of his plan ... obviously surrounded by walls, and whose red roofs, which seem all the same, you can admire the ' the other tower of the cathedral. The evening dinner in the hotel restaurant, but we go out to a walk and, even though the village appears somewhat flies, listen, to shoot 22 of precise, the guardian of the tower that screams something incomprehensible own tower itself is a 'rite come down to us from medieval times, when the task was to reassure the attendant fellow that everything went well and there was no danger to the city!
Harburg Castle: A beautiful example of a perfectly preserved castle that stands on a hill. In fact you can visit only by guided tour only in German .... then only we decide to visit the courtyard and take some photos.
Donauwörth: of this town, which lies on the confluence of the river Wornitz with the Danube, the only thing worth seeing is the main road, with beautiful colored houses, Bavarian-style .... they say is one of the most beautiful germany.
Augsburg: in Augsburg (Augusta) we sleep a night: the city is quite large compared to small towns seen so far and perhaps this is less characteristic, but being on Romantische strasse, we decided to stop anyway. Here we visit the Protestant Church of St. Anne's Cathedral, the Fuggerei first example to the world of neighborhood people "built in 1600 and still inhabited: in it you can find a museum and the house where he lived the grandfather of Mozart .
Landsberg: in this small town are to consider the square and the inevitable Baroque Rathaus, and the two main towers of the city
Schongau: arrive when there is the Medieval Feast "Venetian", whereby the center of the country there are stalls and people in costume who sell everything: we eat in there, in the center of the square, where a stand and kitchen sells sausage sauce and washed down with side of fries!
Wieskirche: it's a beautiful church surrounded by green meadows and close to where the cows graze, but is famous for the Christ flaeggato which lies within it and for which every year is the destination of many pilgrims
Neuschwanstein Castle is spectacular when viewed from the iron footbridge Marienbruke, which is accessed by following the directions of the path around the castle castello.Il inside is eccentric motion, reflecting the taste of Ludwig II, but the throne room, the pretend cave and the living room with 600 candles worth visiting: it is certainly one of the most beautiful castles in the world.
Schloss Hohenschwangau, we have seen only from outside, without enter and we took some photos, although the castle was partly covered with scaffolding.
Füssen is a beautiful country montagan, where one breathes the air of the classic places to practice sposrt winter, the streets are nice, the square and the houses are always special in their kind and deserve a visit.
Innsbruck: Austrian citizenship is very beautiful, but we have limited ourselves to visit the city center in a couple of hours on the way back home.
