Berlin is a city of culture but also for fun and relaxation. The beautiful parks, a boat cruise along the Spree, a bike ride through the hundreds of kilometers of bicycle paths, the pub in Kreuzberg, restaurants all'apeto Preslauer of Berg and Schoeneberg Neukoelln pools and the beach resort of sand at the lake Waansee and then all the many musical theater, classical music and rock, in short there is something for everyone and all tastes

Then go north-east and find the beautiful district of Preslauer Berg in East Berlin. All pastel-colored houses, boutiques, Italian restaurants, high-class word around Kolwitz Platz and Schoenhauser Alleee divertissement else in the evening and night.
Or change the area and landing in Schoneberg, central but also with high-class residential buildings in classical style, tree-lined avenues, such as the Kurfurstendamm shopping district and gay with its nightspots, bars and restaurants that make Berlin the capital of a most visited cities by this community.

In Berlin I saw the retrospective of the great painter Frida Kahlo, with all his paintings, clothes, his personal photos and documented the story of his life.
There was close to this show, near Potsdamer Platz, a large photographic exhibition on the Holocaust against the wall of the Jewish ghetto.
In the center there is the famous Friedrichstrasse Check Point Charlie with the picture of U.S. military and Russian flags and two American boys in uniform that lend themselves to the photos with tourists.
Not far away is a fragment of the wall and in the middle of a green base of the wall marked by stones.
In Warschauer Strasse remained about a mile of the wall was completely covered with colorful murals and art, one of the most spectacular of Berlin.
The murals are everywhere in Kreuzberg, in the lower floors of houses, including the entrance doors and in less front-to-ceiling windows.
The Pergamon is the most important museum in Berlin. It contains the white marble altar dating back to 180-150 Pergamon ACDI a Greek colony in Asia Minor, the Ishtar Gate of Babylon, the port of Miletus, the walls of a beautiful room decorated in wood and colored from Aleppo and many other artifacts from Asia Minor and the Middle East.
Another step in the door visit to the German Parliament, huge classic building with a hemispherical dome of glass and steel that runs inside a circle in the description in the headphones listening to what you see out at 360 ° panorama of the city as well as information German policy on the life and activities of the parliament.
Berlin's vision is even greater if carried out by the TV tower that visiitabile at the ball reaches a height of 200 meters, a symbol and pride of the former GDR.
We are near the old town hall and the new red brick with white stone.
Another must see is the square with a statue of Schiller Gendarmenmark and classical buildings of valuable enough to be compared in beauty to the Piazza Navona in Rome.
Friedrichstrasse is the way of fashion boutiques and home of the big banks.
Other routes are the famous Kurfürstendamm shopping street bustling and Unter den Linden, that is, under the linden trees, the trees that adorn its long journey that arrives at the Brandenburg Gate, symbol of Berlin and a meeting place at major events such as New Year's Eve street.
Another important place is Alexander Platz Potsdamer Platz contend that the grandeur of its modern buildings.
Around the Parliament there are several embassies that are located in buildings of great visual impact.
In the Tiergarten park you can see the road in mid June 17 through it all to the Charlottenburg Palace, leading the column decorated at the top of the statue of the goddess winning Siegesaule hours in restoration.
In the extreme east of the park there are the botanical gardens and the largest zoo in Europe, made famous by the movie, "The girl at the zoo in Berlin."
But with all the heat that I met and after the many kilometers traveled by bike I had rented for three days, I found moments of rest and sleep in parks where Berliners sunbathing (some naked) or along the cool banks of the Spree.
In recent days, leaving the bike, I rode Berlin U-bahn underground metro and S-bahn surface, all well connected with the usual big order and German precision. I think there are a dozen subway lines and many more external ones making it easy to reach any destination in the huge city as an extension that is second only to Los Angeles.
You can arrive in less than an hour in the nearby town of Potsdam, rich in parks, churches and historic buildings like the castle of Sans Souci and the Prussian Neues Palace built by Frederick II, who is the historical figure most celebrated and remembered with so many statues Riding across Berlin as well as in Potsdam.
Halfway between Berlin and Potsdam can fall Waansee beautiful lake that has a beautiful and large sandy beach and allowing Berliners to swim and cool off in its waters, even as there is a nude bathing area for naturists.
To the south but there are huge pools of Neukoelln, with park and water slide, tree-lined meadows and dining places.
In short, Berlin is ready to meet every need and is not expensive.
You can wander around all day pass with transport network with 6 €, you can make a snack of the classic sausage sandwich with mustard or ketchup with 2.5 €. A beer at the bar and restaurant is about 3.5 euro, but many if bought in many shops of drinks that give you the cold to 1.20 euro.
A meal in a restaurant with a single dish of meat, potatoes and vegetables with beer is around € 10-12.
For a hotel room you spend the 50 euro, but the hostel you can sleep in dormitories with 10-20 €.
I stayed at the Motel One in Moritzplatz bordering Orianenstrasse which is the richest in Kreuzberg with various pubs and clubs for the fun night.
I paid 49 € for a double room with air conditioning, TV, bathroom with shower, all of excellent quality comparable to a 3 star but even more so.
The rental bike for three days cost me € 30, admission to two museums combined with ticket € 14.
Others 10 € for a visit to the tower while visiting the German Parliament is free.
I hope you did not forget anything and I did not get repeated.
This two-week vacation in Poland and Berlin came to me costs around € 1,000, including two of three flights with Ryanair (Bergamo Bergamo-Berlin-Krakow and) to around € 50 per flight and a limousine with (Krakow-Berlin) to 80 €.
