My holidays in Munich and tour around the castles of Ludwig II. Travel to Germany

This year, taking a cue from some diaries on Case for tourists have once again decided to use the availability of my sister Cynthia and her husband Andreas who live in Monaco of Bavaria. The objectives of this holiday were mostly riparmiare and enjoy the surroundings of Monaco, including the castles of Ludwig II. Let me start with some advice and recommendations:

- In German motorways have no speed limits, but in many places you will see signs in such cases try to maintain it;
- Monaco is full of bike paths for those traveling by car, remember that it is their priority, for who will run walk imposed on the sidewalk for you, the Germans are very precise on this;
- If you want to save money on lunches and dinners you should go in the beer garden that are distributed throughout the city, the less tourist but do not have the English translation of the list. There are also guides the addresses if you are interested;
- Underground Monaco is very expensive (2.30 euros per ticket) I recommend you buy tickets so that cumulative savings.
08/13/2009: Once in Monaco in a driving rain going to take the house keys in the office of Cynthia and run into the house. We also pass the evening here. Usually we say that we bring beautiful weather, but this time it did not happen.

14/8/2009: Today time seems to pass more lenient buy the metro valid for two people for the whole day. After a walk in the center of the ritual, go to the Residenz. 8/15/2009: Cynthia since Saturday and Andreas us to guide and together we go to visit the first castle of Ludwig II Linderhof. On the way we see the dome of the Abbey of Ettal, but we decide not to stop. Linderhof is the only castle Ludwig II was able to complete, however the rooms are few but very comfortable and the entrance garden fountains and beautiful. Inside the park will find a grotto dedicated Tanuhauser Wagnerian opera, a Moorish kiosk and a house in Morocco. Around 18:00 we decided to go visiatre Oberammergau, a small town but one of the best known, is famous for its painted houses and the representation that every year at Easter is held on the passion of Christ. After the walk we go to dinner in a neighboring country to enjoy the specialties tipichebavaresi.

08/16/2009: Today we are a bit 'exhausted and struggling to carburetor, Andreas is the only substance that makes us once again as a guide. Let's start with Stanbergsee destination, but the way we stop and we go to visit a small church on a hill which offers a beautiful view of the lag. Resume the car and we are nearing our destination but it is so crowded that we do not find parking, then continue to Staffelsee and again we visit a church on a small hill. Once in Staffelsee Cynthia and Andreas decided to go for a swim while I shoot photos and Ale burst of the lake.

08.17.2009: Ale would definitely visit the BMW Museum, but have a nasty surprise: The museum is closed on Mondays. Folded for a ride to the Marienplatz and its side streets. Let the beautiful carrillon around with music. I have not missed a tour of the downtown shops. This time was also agreed Ale

18/08/2009: Today we have to "grind" km: Fussen destination and the famous castle of Neuschwanstein. Along the way we see the center of Landsberg am Lech and decide on the next trip to Monaco will visit for sure. Along a stretch of the Romantic Strasse. Arrived in Fussen we realize that will be no mean feat, to buy tickets there are 40 minutes of queue and the first Italian visit is at 16:55, we decide to follow the guide in English. Let the lazy and take the bus that will leave us about 16 minutes from the castle. The scenery is spectacular, you see the lake Alpsee and Hohenschwangau castle of Ludwig II's parents. neuschwantein is one of the castles unfinished for lack of money, is so spectacular that Disney was inspired to draw him to the castle of Sleeping Beauty. The visit lasts within a short time just because the rooms are finished only fifth.

08/19/2009: The last castle of Ludwig II is located on one of two islands of Lake Chiemsee. Is about an hour from Monaco. One of the cities where you can take the ferry Prien. Herreninsel Island (island slumbering castle) is the biggest. The castle, inspired by the palace of Versailles, was inhabited only for nine days by Ludwig. The second largest island of the lake is Fraueninsel, inside there is a Benedictine monastery. And 'inhabited mostly by fishermen and you can buy fresh fish from small shops.

08/20/2009: Today is the day dedicated to Ale. First stage of the BMW museum. The cost is a bit 'high 12.00 euros per person but for car enthusiasts is a stage due. Do not forget to cross the bridge and go to the BMW Welt, where you can watch closely the new models of cars and motorcycles. After this tour lasted all morning We gave all'Olypiapark had a nice walk. The structure is impressive and leaves open mouth. The beautiful lake that's inside.

08.21.2009: last day, we are a bit 'weak then as a first step we decide to go buy a fruit smoothie to Viktualienmarkt, but we lose too much time looking at the stalls and we realize it's time to take the subway and Cynthia reach and Andreas for lunch. In the afternoon the sky cloud more and more but we decided to walk until the rain comes in earnest. We visit the Theatinerkirche next to the Residenz, soon after we enter the garden and go out on Maximilianstrasse, famous for its luxury shops. We reach the bridge on the Isar, the dome of Annakirche draws us and let us go closer. We just had time to "greet" the Deutsches Museum before the rain arrives. Is expected to start tomorrow morning, we know that it is only a goodbye.
