The Berlin of many years ago... A different city from today's capital of Germany

It was a different Berlin from that of today. The memory of the wall was still pretty close, in the year 1995.
People still went for a walk on the east with the curiosity of those looking to find the aliens of the desert of Texas. The city is very large, impressive buildings in the center but in the process of reconstruction, many sites opened. Notably that of Reichstag, impossible to imagine a distance of years.
The people I met were enthusiastic about the union and in the streets of downtown Berlin, dozens of young people stopped playing and singing together, east and west.
So many emotions and many memories, but recall seeing pictures of the Brandenburg Gate. There are so many memories even of the hostel in Berlin, mostly inhabited by Kurds and less to tourists. Clean, orderly, almost a pension.
