The flight WindJet organized by Kenoby scheduled for 12:00 am from Catania airport is punctual and thus arrive at Heraklion at 14:50 local time (compared to the clock should be moved ahead one hour) . The car hire category D to € 360.00 for 14 days was a Hunday Accent. I confirm that the new road we must travel on horseback in the emergency lane for overtaking machinery more snappy.
After about two hours and a half we reached the town of Kissamos and the room for rent Bikakis Family (www.familybikakis.gr tel. 0,032,822,024,257 cost € 30.00 per night room without air conditioning, but there was no need) which is on the road to the right parallel to the principal. The owner is friendly and helpful but the room is fairly spartan. The room has refrigerator, bathroom with shower and TV.

Alarm clock with 07:00 to go and see the beautiful beach of Elafonissis. The path chosen to reach the beach was that of the domestic and passing Topoli Elos.
Elafonissis reached after about an hour and a half after finding car parking in the shade of a tree, we walk toward the island after a small section done at ford. We need to reach the more remote coves and beautiful wilderness. Nell'isolotto no fishing, hunting, collection of sand and use dell'ombrellone. Kissamos returned in the evening we went to eat at Pikantiko about 50 meters after turning to the left of the small road opposite the Bikakis.

Alarm clock with 07:00 to go and see the lagoon of Balos. To reach the lagoon you can get from the port of Kissamos boats accompanying the tourists. We have preferred to reach the lagoon by car. After reaching the town of Kaliviani begins the stretch dirt that must be tackled with caution. After about 30 minutes you reach the dirt parking lot where a path of about 30 min walk. The show from the lagoon is breathtaking and would be a shame to lose such a view. On the beach before the arrival of the barges, there are only ten people to enjoy such beauty. 12:00 starting to get the barges until about 17:45.
The beach of indescribable beauty, unfortunately, shows traces of tar.

Paleohora reach. We choose a beach to 4 km from center in the direction of the camp towards the beaches of water. The road is unpaved but flat so no need to worry about the car.
The beach is pebbly and the sea is fabulous for snorkeling. At 17:45 we leave for Hania. Finding housing is only a matter of money so after a short search we take the pension Kastelli near the Venetian harbor at € 40.00.

Alarm at 08:30 with breakfast and walk to Hania. 10:30 leave for Plakias reached after about two hours and a half. We visited the beach and Ammoudia Skinari and we stayed at. Livicon Beach Hotel (tel 2832031216 e-mail: liviconplakias@acn.gr) on the seafront at a price of € 30.00

Alarm at 07:30 and after a breakfast in one of the clubs of the promenade (€ 7.00) starting to reach the beach Preveli. The view from the beach is beautiful with a dense vegetation of palm trees and oleanders behind and the river that divides it into two parts. E 'must walk the path of the palm trees and admire the river in all its beauty. Board not to take the pedal stroke because the route is about 100 meters after which the rocks impede the transition.

We decide to see the famous Red Beach. There are two ways a simpler but longer and a shorter but more short. We have chosen the shortest path that starts from the street where the apartment is chosen for the night. The first section is almost climbing, then you reach a gate to close after the passage and began the descent. The path to the beach is about 30 minutes. When you arrive at the beach we noticed that the sand is of a yellow ocher. In the afternoon we reached Myrthos and found accommodation at the Cretan House (tel 0030842026435) at a price of € 65 for two nights.

Alarm clock to 08:00 and for Irapetra from where the barges to the island of Chrissi. 10:30 boats depart for the island. Recently landed a Chrissi we head towards the Golden Beach beach on the north side dell'isoletta. The peculiarity that struck us was the path between the cedars and the colors of the beach and sea.

25 -26 July 2008
Xerocambos reach. Where to stay in the villa Ampelos (booked through the site by www.xerocamboscreta.com).
You can not resist the temptation to make panoramic pictures down from the road connecting Zyros - Xerocambos. The place is very beautiful and peaceful for passing of regenerating holiday and for lovers of snorkeling is a must-see. A Xerocambos are four tavernas and a mini market.

We start to visit the beach Go The beach is beautiful but very commercial and when the crowd becomes too much we head towards Itanos. For Itanos are two beaches both very beautiful.

Alarm at 07:30 and departure for Makrigialos which is about 1 hour from Xerocambos. The ship leaves at 10:30 (€ 30.00 with lunch included) and take about 25 people per Koufunissis deserted island and away from mass tourism. Just landed on the island each passenger chooses its own cove. We are masters of the island. Compared to wild Chrissi is more beautiful but less objectively, however, not to be missed.

Reach A. Nikolaos. The town is very touristy and the characteristic of having a lake near the marina. This was the only place where we had some difficulty in finding accommodation for more (many do not want to rent for one night). In the end we find the Board Mary (found in Evans) at a price of € 35.00 with air conditioning. In the evening we dined in the area of the lake.

Visit the Cret @ quarium and the palace of Knossos. delivery of the car (1418 km) and starting with 6 hours of delay.
