For those who do not know Paxos is a tiny island (about 20 square kilometers) within hours of travel from the 'Italy ... I and my fellow travelers, we decided to spend the entire vacation there, although someone had suggested to stay only a few days considered more than sufficient.
Instead, I think it is necessary to visit it and know it calmly and without haste ... and enjoy rather than tranquility ...
the beaches are a delight, despite the cobbles ... with a 'clear water and very cold and fortunately only two or three are equipped;
the others are still fairly unique to have ... some olives (because the 'island it is completely covered), which almost mirrored in' water and to 'shadow of which is pleasant to enjoy nature, silence and maybe a good book.
In short, I've lived like this and I ran out of places a little more noisy ... Gaios is one of them is the main town, full of tourists, bars, restaurants and yachts and all day is pretty busy.
To the south of the island and within minutes there is another small island, Antipaxos, where nn can stay but where there are white sand beaches, lagoons with a genuine 'deep blue water of a single flaw ... : the excessive proximity of the boats!
Also we made some walks in the 'hinterland of olive groves, churches and old tanks ... we followed paths that arrive on the cliffs with breathtaking views ... we have witnessed a performance of traditional dances at Lakka (the most picturesque villages 'island in my opinion) ... we visited an old monastery accessible only by August 15 located on an island opposite the port of Gaios ... we ate' fresh fish in this regard ... if you want some advice to stop tavern on the beach Levrekiò near Longos, the owner called Spyros ... not be disappointed.
