Arrival and night time

Flight from Orio al Serio with SkyEurope (eur 26) at 15:20 we landed on time in Budapest at 16:55. The seats, unlike Ryanair, are assigned at check-in.
Arrived at the airport we picked up directly with the ATM, having compared the fee structure of foreign exchange with the listing previously checked on the internet. (On balance, including the cost of the bank showed a return equal to 260, the airport seemed above 280 eur)
Inside the airport (all'edicola) we bought tickets for the bus and metro (F185x2). On leaving the airport on the pavement on the left we went to the bus stop. We, being Saturday, we took the 100 but there is also the 93rd Leading comfortably at the terminus of the Underground 3.
Given the hour, we were directed to the Museum of Terror, but despite still nearly two hours at the close there have taken on board (probably need more time for the visit). We have taken advantage for a nice walk on Andrassy Ut.

We decide to leave your luggage in advance, hostel, the frends Hostel in Budapest Haris Koz, 2 in the center!
(booked with a deposit of 10% on the internet site of the hostels Skyeurope)
Having given as check-in 21:00 we do not find anyone to expect but we are lucky because of the girls, who were leaving, we leave to file the case.
With the intention to make a nice walk we are to visit the center full of lots of interesting buildings. We return along the Danube, as it is romantic!
In the evening, at the time of check-in we already pay the two nights (eur 24 each). The room is small but carinissima (seems to be all'Ikea) and the bathroom in front of the camera. Open the bags and leave for further exploration of the city in a night.
Discover palaces and galleries with ceilings of glass products. Pass the bridge to head to Elizabeth Castle and admire the lights of the Chain Bridge from afar. Walk along the Danube below the castle and reach the top of the hill. Everything is illuminated so evocative and the Fishermen's Bastion is truly magical and romantic. From above we can see the whole city, the Parliament, the Chain Bridge and so on. Remember to bring your tripod with you so that the photos definitely better than ours!
Dropped from the Castle through the Bastione we crossed the Chain Bridge and following along the Danube Hostel us back, tired but satisfied.

Downtown, Hosok Tere, museums, zoo, castles, etc..

onday all the museums are closed and, already resigned to leaving, we get up at 7:00 for a tour de force of all the museums involved!
We leave the hostel at 8.00 (a 'sleeping) in a maximum journey of preparation to optimize the little time available.
We start from the nearby church BelArosa Templon, the oldest in Pest and then go across Vaci UCTA, passing in Vorosmarty Square, opposite the famous pastry Gerbeaud, I tested again later.
The Ridotto (Vigadó) is, unfortunately, partially packaged. This is followed by the beautiful Art Nouveau Gresham Palace (or secessionist as is called in Hungary this movement). Yes, the name is the first founder of the London Stock Exchange, the palace is a hotel with lots of stars to the point that I had to insist with Lore to enter a visit. Indeed all people in livery service, the luxury car in front etc.. raise the doubt but, revenue, and no one deserves tells you nothing!
Side also admire the Palace of the Academy of Sciences to continue to the Parliament. Visit the inside, with guided tour exhaustively, deserves but requires at least 3 hours. Given the picture, if you have the time, it is worth. The building is in perfect English style, in fact the neo-Gothic facade recalls the very parliament in London.
We reach, therefore, always surrounded by well-kept buildings and details in Szabadse Ter, ie the square of Liberty. While stop on the park benches admire the beautiful building of the American Embassy.
At this point we enter into at the Opera on Andrassy Ut go on until the Heroes' Square Hosök Tere. Wishing you can use the metro, and is actually interesting (we took part in this trip) because this stretch, beginning at Vorosmarty dates back to 1896 and is the oldest in continental Europe.
Heroes' Square is home to the "millennium monument" in 1896 to celebrate 1000 years of Hungarians in the region. Indeed it is beautiful but we viewed the photos, we thought it was more scenic. We come now, why starts to rain, in the Museum of Fine Arts, considered one of the richest in the world of art. The entrance to the permanent (the temporary was not of interest to us) is free because we discover in the process of restructuring. Sadly missing several important works but I still merits a visit. At the time it improved and we do a tour in the city park of the castle Varosloget see Vajdabunyad. There is a female marathon and the entire park is celebrating with music and folk dances. We eat a cob roasted watching the water kind of sweet cake pan braided (unfortunately we can not eat wheat). Also come to the zoo (1600F), despite a favorable story read on the site, there a little disappointed 'to the state of preservation, the size of habitats available to animals and the small amount of them.
Take the metro to go and descend to Moszkova to go to the castle. Off at the stop here is the
first stop at the small shopping center where Mommut is a must Hungarian salami and cheeses in addition to test fruit drinks strange but good. Obviously not resist and just arrived in a little square with trees and benches test or acquired (because without careful essercene are now 15 and still not had lunch ... and breakfast? What a disaster ...)
The time was variable, and significantly worsens the temperature begins to be freddina.
Visit the
beautiful church of S. Matthias (600) that really deserves a long visit. I also have suffered one of Liberty (see story on Brussels) and here I really Giuggioli broth!
Released in time to make shelter under the portico of the Fishermen's Bastion before the deluge. We take some photos but it is so dark it would take the stand. How is it different than the night before!
Increasingly cold soup and we desert the village and the dark ... seems to be at the end of October (by us). Fa un po 'sadness. We reach the Royal Palace which houses the Hungarian National Gallery, the Budapest History Museum and the National Szechenyi Library. To decide to cut back and use the elevator (100F) as we stand in the direction of Elizabeth Bridge, which we follow until you reach the hostel. I am fired from the cold and try to heartened with a nice hot shower. We are a little demoralized by the time ... interent on forecasts were different! We rest a bit, trying to dry clothes that although umbrellas were inzuppati and, before leaving for dinner, prepare the case. Let's go to a nice restaurant where we had seen an interesting tourist menu. But we discover that the tourist menu (real deals) are valid only for lunch and order, and a la carte. Good goulash is a soup with meat and Tokaj verdura.Assaggiamo also very sweet and strong. It 's very good.
Being in the middle not resist another trip, because even well-covered by maglioncini and jackets.
Tired but happy return to hostel. Have done more than 20 km on foot? Well we do the habit ...

Daisy island, station, churches, Synagogues mk covered and... back home!

E 'on the day of departure. Let your luggage in storage and we are dedicated to visiting the center and church.

The weather has improved and we head to Margaret Island but arrived almost next to the bridge we decide to take a bus to reduce the times. The island is an immense green park with a lot of tracks to race on the outer perimeter. In addition, there are the beams of the Thermal Spa. Kept the beautiful Japanese garden and the remains of the monastery of Santa Margherita. Attention, bring the Autan: we failed to make stops over 5 minutes because the mosquitoes are very aggressive. E 'a walk to admire the buildings on the banks of the Danube River to the bridge Margherita.

Continuing in Pest one passes in front of the beautiful Nyugati Station built by Eiffel. Lore gave to my eyes
front of a pastry shop and sample a slice of cake.
Then we visit the magnificent Basilica of Santo Stefano, glimpsed on the day of arrival, which overlooks a large square.

We continue with the two Synagogues. The first is in the process of restructuring (500 Fiorini) and is very suggestive, and the other, tourism is very rich and accurate and includes the monument to the memory, a weeping willow (see photo). You can make different tickets. We choose the one from 1200 Fiorni including the Synagogue, the willow and the museum. Enchanting!

After so much beauty to let religious market place, a beautiful building which contains three floors and well-aligned stores food, crafts, souvenirs and even a supermarket. Ideal if you are undecided and want to bring home something. Even for eating is not bad: having lunch we already sold the only sweets but there are restaurants, self service with dishes that dall'odorino seemed not bad.
Look at the clock and we realize that we still have time to go and see, if not the Citadel at least the statue of St. Gellert but unfortunately I can account for not having more of my scarf, and return back to retrieve it. Lore will remain so with the curiosity to climb right up there. Sorry!
Later we move to withdraw the case in the hostel and go to the subway station to bus Népliget Coach Aut (find out too early). Starting point at 22:30, after the check-in and change the printing on the ticket with internet (Eurolines online booking with an advance of 30 days DKK 18 each). We can sleep in spite of the toilet and stops at the borders. The arrival to Praha, the center (Aut Nadro Florence), will be at 6:30 / 7:00, am.
