2006 Iceland adventure travel

I started from Rome, together with my friend Fabio speleonauta with a Toyota pick up Size of Adventure, August 10 2006, around 7.30. After 7 days of travel, including 5 of the earth, which we crossed into Austria, Germany, Sweden, Denmark and Norway, and 2 of the ship, where we visited the Shetland Islands and the Faroe Islands, we finally landed in Iceland unforgettable.

We have always found good weather, except for 2 days of rain in Reykjavik, we slept in a tent Quechua self and a sleeping bag Ferrino of winter and we have come across 8000 km.

We visited the area vulvanica Askja, Lake Myvatn, the volcanic area of Krafla, we had to Husavik whale watching and saw the waterfalls Dettifoss and the Northern Lights, we were in the volcanic cave Grjotagia, then Hverfell, under waterfalls and in the town Godafoss of Akureyri, and then in Hveravellir and Langjokull glacier and then to Geysir, and then to the waterfalls of Gulfoss, then in Þingvellir, namely the ocean ridge, where we saw the waterfall Oxararfoss. Then we went in Landmannalaugar and see a cave in the ice, then 2 days in Reykjavik. Then it was the turn of the cascade of Skogafoss then the baja of Dhiroley where avviastiamo seals and puffins to sea. The day after we Kirkjugólf, then we see the waterfalls and the glacier Svartifoss Vatnajokull. E 'then the turn of the bay Jokulsarlon to see the amphibious iceberg. Then we board a Seydisfjordur in 4 days and returns to Rome.
The return was quicker, from us directly landed in Denmark, and then we passed through Germany, Austria and in Italy we went, arriving in Rome on September 3 at around 22.
