Elba SHORT VACATION

Despite the years, there remains the desire to travel, see new places, returning to places I have caught, I'd like to especially

its base, we are discovering new places, or returning to beloved places, while adapting to my grandfather in the quality of service

This year I chose the closest of the large Mediterranean islands: Elba. Is part of the party with me Returns, my wife and a
lovely granddaughter of ten years. With the Old Crock 250 km, more or less, and six in Piombino, a few miles from the ferry landings
on the island.
The Elba in August, we assumed the crowded, therefore, scheduled two weeks of vacation we are here for the end of June.
Through the internet we found a site that had once convinced a couple of miles before cable, coming from Rio Marina,
Rio Albano in the village on a hillside high above the sea: A tourist residence transformed renovating an old building destined
staff to prisoners at one time the mines ferrifere rocks. Location for us, very nice, much less for older tenants

In the building, part two, part three-storey has been converted into a series of small apartments, independent. We are housed in a
studio large enough, equipped with cooker and bathroom, located at the southern end, with two windows that span the sea, toward one
the continent, the other tangent to the island.
The first week, spend, lazily bringing us to the shingle beach of Cable, swim, alternating relaxing break, the second
week we reach two other grandchildren with his mother Lucy and his Mark. Elba came with their Range Rover and give us

multiplicity of tenders.
The weather was mostly nice, some outburst was not missing in the second week, but is changing slope

The beaches are beautiful, but mostly gravel, very useful special shoes that allow access to the sea
