A day in the village of Chiusdino to appreciate the wonderful Frosini castle

Near the town of Chiusdino is the beautiful Castello di Frosini.
Of very ancient origins (it is mentioned in documents of the eleventh century), was owned by the Gherardesca, and certainly played a very important role, especially for its strategic position on the road leading from Massetana Siena to the Maremma and the Metalliferous Hills . By the thirteenth century the castle became part of the rule of the Republic of Siena.
There is a very beautiful church by the Knights Templar, and now also a very nice pizza.
