A fascinating tiny village of the western Veneto: Valeggio sul Mincio, Italy
Borghetto is a small group of settlements built in 1400 around a series of water mills for grinding wheat and husking rice, in a particularly picturesque along the river Mincio. Leaving the car at Valeggio, descend along the municipal garden and you arrive at the small village (included in the "most beautiful villages in Italy"). Lies in a valley beneath the hills dominated by the castles of Valeggio sul Mincio. Art and craft shops and restaurants everywhere. Imposing ruins of the bridge Visconti, beautiful views on the wheels of water mills, fascinating music of the silent flow of water. From here you can continue to Peschiera bike along the bike path that runs along the Mincio (are about 15 km away .... we did last year) or down to Mantua.
