and here we depart again, this time half of our flight will be 'Tuscany. it's lunchtime when we get to Volterra, we find parking in a parking immediately outside the walls, the day was wonderful and took the opportunity to make a nice picnic in a beautiful park, equipped with 2 steps from the archaeological, Matthew is happy because he found the games and we barely manage to convince him to come forth. first stop on our tour is the tourist information point which gives us all the information necessary and useful map and then we head to the Etruscan museum Guarnacci one of the oldest museums in Europe and one of its kind between most complete, stand out among the various artifacts found 2 works of great merit "the shadow of the evening" and "Cover of the spouses." Volterra suffered much things we like to see are many, but unfortunately our time is short so we limit ourselves to core. it is now late afternoon when we leave the museum are a little tired but we still have many things to see and then decide to sit at a poolside bar for aperitifs and snacks to give to the little one, for those who had never tasted advice Vermentino di Bolgheri all that is really delicious. then we head to Piazza dei Priori, main square of the village which looks out on some very beautiful buildings like the Palazzo dei Priori, and the bishop's palace praetorian http://www.comune.Volterra.pi.it/flex/cm / pages/ser- veblob.php/l/it/idpagina/70 not far too cathedral. before returning to the car we visit the Roman amphitheater that is really very beautiful and well preserved. regarding the night we opted for the campsite we found one right next to the cliffs from which it takes the name, Matthew is very excited the first time sleeping in tents and live this experience as a game http://www. campinglebalze.com/uk/camping-Volterra.- php, after mounting the curtain and let everyone changed a great sunset stroll on the scenic path to the ledges, are truly spectacular and it's all very romantic to end the evening in a pizzeria in the old town Volterra suggest that all "the manger", where we ate well and spent very little. the next day we head to San Gimignano which is the second stage of our "flight". for those who decide to take a short vacation in this area I recommend everyone to use as a basis for staying and eating Volterra because it is much cheaper there we quickly realized the cost of parking just outside the gates of the country was very dear to a bit more luck away we found another one with more affordable prices that also offered a shuttle service that we do not say, however usufruito.cosa of San Gimignano is beautiful too .... here are many things to see the first thing we did have breakfast in a cafe opposite the cathedral, pecentuale of foreign tourists is impressive, there is much movement. informazionee the point of the usual tourist map and give us some advice. Start your tour of the cathedral or collegiate church that is There are drugs within the beautiful frescos by Ghirlandaio left we visited the nearby Diocesan Museum. should have been a visit to the Museum but also the little one is on holiday so we give up, do a nice walk and some shopping for the historical center that is truly unique and finally a visit to the church of San Girolamo .... as souvenirs bought some bottles of Chianti and Vernaccia wine we tasted our way home we go away from San Gimignano really happy with all things seen, but our short holiday is not over yet we now look to Siena, although we had already visited both wanted to see her little one so after a long car ride to the beautiful Tuscan countryside truly special come to Siena. Siena is really beautiful. guides are wasted on tips and suggestions that I skip this part because even with the short time available we did a walk through the town square until you get to the camp and visit the cathedral to visit, but we really would take several days for which advice to everyone at least a day just to visit this wonderful city. we go home tired late in the evening, we took lots of pictures to remember these 2 wonderful days, Matthew knew a little bit of our beautiful Italy who knows if something will remember this when he grows up!!
