A mountain trip to Dolomites and South Tyrol.. Trentino Alto Adige, Italy
Like every year, this year we spent a few days in South Tyrol. With new, this spring we have a camper and this was our first experience in the mountains. The original destination was Dobbiaco in Alta. Left home on Friday evening, we are on the Brenner highway and around 21 o'clock we stopped in Autogrill to dinner and continued until 23. To sleep, we chose the most convenient solution, along with other campers we stopped in a parking area on the highway. The following morning at 8 o'clock we were camping in front of the lake Dobbiaco, where to our amazement we were told that up to 12 did not know whether there was room. What to do? The freedom given by campers is this: we left the valley Anterselva where we knew there was a campsite and where we actually stopped. The campsite is on grass, with supermarket, newspapers, and good facilities (hot showers, laundry, toilets clean and even the sun. By chance and very happy, there was a barn dance in the country two days organized by the brigade fire. There was a big tent with the band on stage in costumes and Tyrolean food stand with rivers of beer. There were also costume parades and dancing games. In this beautiful valley can make various walks and hikes in the mountains. The valley ends in a beautiful lake called Anterselva full of trout. around which there is a path we would take approximately 3 hours with other tourists. In winter there are many cross-country skiing and every year there a Biathlon competition. Then we left for Austria and went to Tarvisio in Italy.. and we went home happily
