A relaxing weekend in Ferrara. Emilia Romagna, Italy

Alexander, my husband was a bit 'of time proposed to go to Ferrara, there had never been and was intrigued by this city a World Heritage Site, so we decided to "make a leap to celebrate our birthdays.

Considering the period we wanted to contain costs and we did a little research on the internet and found a great package Hotel Lucrezia Borgia, but not close to the center with convenient parking right there and offered a dinner. Also gave the possibility to rent bicycles for free around the city.

Ferrara is a very nice city, it is nice to see bikes around the streets of Old Town. Once arrived we were starving so we decided to go downtown but walk to stretch a bit 'legs. Immediately after eating a sandwich we started our tour: visit the Cathedral, the Estense Castle and the Certosa, where you can find a garden where they can rest.

The first night we decided not to enjoy the dinner in the hotel because we still had so much energy and desire to see the city, so we took the car and we easily found parking on the edge of the pedestrian zone. During the second day we went to Comacchio, famous for its canals and called "Little Venice, we walked around the narrow streets and small canals. It 'was really fun. In the evening we were destroyed, and fortunately the dinner had been booked at the hotel. Too bad that the weekend has flown but we went home satisfied.
