A September weekend at the Pomposa Abbey in the province of Ferrara, Italy

When I think where I get to spend a weekend in mind many cities of art and times to reach them I pass Pomposa. This time I plan to take it as a place of my mini vacation.
I decide to stay in a farm in the Po delta to eat authentic local food and sleep and spending relatively little.
Where can I get accommodation Abbey walk!
The thing that immediately springs to my eyes and the slender bell tower erected in 1063 but much older is the basilica of Santa Maria a three naves with a beautiful inlaid marble floors. Upstairs is the Museo Pomposiano, which houses frescos and other architectural works of the monastic complex. Continuously visiste abbey with the fresco cycle of the refectory, and concludes with the Palazzo della Ragione, which lies off the Abbey.
