A trip across the beautiful landscapes of Trentino Alto Adige, Italy

My first tour in this region dates back to 85 when, during a license from military service with a friend decided to come here. It was winter time and when we left the highway to go to Cavalese in the village we found the preparations for the famous cross country marathon that is held there every year. Back in time again we entered the highway going north and then reaching out Brunico. It was evening and we went to see a game of ice hockey valid for the Serie A. More than the match was interesting environment, the event indeed took place on an outdoor ice rink surrounded by crowded galleries, where obviously cheered their team only in German, the language of this area. After the race we looked for accommodation but we were very young and the prices too expensive for us so late in the evening we took the road that leads to the summit of Italy slept in a parking lot in winter on my car, a Seat Ibiza. We were fascinated by those who are perhaps the most beautiful mountains in the world but I had not a little sweat to drive in snow-covered roads without chains. Fortunately we found two beautiful sunny days.
On another occasion I came here to work with two journalists. Leaving the motorway at Bolzano then we went first to Lana near Merano, where we interviewed a sample of Olympic weightlifting.
Some years later I decided to do another tour around here to see the Dolomites without snow. I was with a friend and we came up on the highway in Sterzing and slept in nearby Colle Isarco in a motel. The day after visiting Sterzing, typical Tyrolean city marked by church steeples and homes dall'irto roof, flowers on the windowsills, gothic writing on walls, signs of iron protruding from the walls of houses, bakeries from which come the strong odors of Tyrol. On the road we go down to the Abbey of Neustift Bressanone doing stage. In Brixen and Sterzing as just like the next stop in Bolzano meta environment is very similar and obviously speaks mainly German. Back in Bolzano we took the road to the tiny but beautiful Lake Carezza, a jewel nestled by a beautiful environment Dolomite, the spectacular mountains reflect in the clear water whose colors vary in shades from sky blue to blue. With this same road we come to Vigo di Fassa and Val di Fassa and then walk with its villages Ladin to Canazei. From here, first was the way to the popular resort of Selva di Val Gardena, Canazei and then returned to climb the road to the Passo del Pordoi that will lead us in Ontario (see "Veneto").
During a trip to Austria and the Czech Republic reach the territory from the Austrian border Prato alla Drava, near San Candido. Shortly before the border the Drava River is the only Italian whose waters flow into the Black Sea!
Finally, a transit in this region to reach the motorway through the Brenner Pass to Austria to go to Germany.
