A trip to Padua under the raindrops of Spring. Veneto region, Italy
Località: PaduaRegione: Veneto Stato: ITALY (IT)
On this rainy late spring (after the rainy spring and the rainy spring average initial ...) you can make up all trips and excursions that you want so the only sure thing is that it rains and it rains even if you have bad loser. Obviously, though conscious of what we try to organize ourselves for a long weekend in Veneto in Padua we score and making base excited about Atlas places that we visited during the weekend. The sun did peep out only on Sundays and we have slingshot the center to enjoy the beautiful Venetian city, hoping that the weather left us a few hours of respite. Padua is as always beautiful. The Basilica of Santa Giustina is impressive in its linearity while the antiques market in Prato della Valle is a perfect place to browse among old things ... (sorry) Old. What really amazed us was, however, the Basilica of St. Anthony that has affected the entire multi-ethnic and multi-confessional that characterizes it. Without exaggeration I think the 15 days there was the whole community Coptic Church in Ethiopia and Eritrea in Italy. It 'amazing how this community literally lives for their religion is not just to pray and sing, but also use the spaces of the cloisters of the Basilica to eat and be together. And in all this wonderful humanity could not miss Mrs. Ethiopian-Brescia which gave us a nice plate of 'ngera we have eaten with bare hands like good Italians.
