Verona using as a starting point, we decide to give us a look at two different aspects of the Veneto region. Having two days to decide to do first route to the west (Lake Garda), then east (downstream of the Brenta in the province of Vicenza). To get to Lake Garda from Verona skirt the Adige to the height of Affi, then point to descend on San Zeno and Towers in order to have a broader view on the upper-middle part of the lake. Machines tourists (Germans): until a few towers, then gradually increasing in number as you approach the lake.
Torri is a charming town with a beautiful lakefront and an interesting Scaliger Castle, behind the castle was obtained a lemon. From Towers you can choose whether to remain on the lake maybe taking the ferry to girarselo around or climb and then on to San Zeno Baldo and overlooks the lake. South of the Punta San Vigilio, Torri go out into the lake and divides the wider and narrower than the plain and mountainous areas of Garda. Unfortunately, the tip is 100% privatized but given the bad habit of our country is perhaps the only way to preserve places of interest and to ensure that our friends in the communes in the provinces, regions and last but not least take pleasure in government to enrich themselves at the expense of the historical environment in exchange for some Italian soldarello underhand. In honor of the owners of San Vigilio is there to say that the place is well kept and accessibilissimo at all for us a simple walk. It 'hard to find in Italy so private enlightened!
The second day we aim towards the Brenta and we stop to Marostica, famous for the chess game and living in the hills full of vineyards! The center is very small but it's worth going to the upper castle to enjoy the wide view on the Vicenza! To avoid having to climb in the hours of lunch. Being privatized (Yeah, right ...) the top of the hill and there being a restaurant, there is a real risk of getting stuck in the car for about twenty minutes.
After surviving unexpected all'ingorgo we went to relax on the Brenta, in view of the historic bridge of Bassano. The day ended on the river and in the countless bars in the city under Mount Grappa.
