Alta Badia, Val Gardena, Arabba, Canazei: Paradise Italian skiing. Hundreds of miles interconnected ski, surrounded by the Dolomites unforgettable
connected through the route most famous resorts in the world, the "Sella Ronda", one of memorable tracks, mountain villages with ancient traditions, superb mountains as the Sella, Sasso Lungo, Marmolada, in a setting of woods, rocky peaks and snowfields .
The overnight stays throughout the area are quite expensive (the sites are among the most renowned international), all accommodations, from small bed & breakfasts to luxurious 5 star hotel, is distinguished by the punctuality of the service, courtesy and typical cured Tyrolean atmosphere. There are many possible solutions for overnight.

Sella Ronda

Indicates the Sella Ronda tour around the Sella Massif, a real ski carousel, unique in its kind. You can leave from four locations: Selva, Canazei, Arabba and Corvara.
The route between the total ski area is about 40 km, but can become much more personalized itinerary and skiing in the various and distinct districts that cross.
The total duration of the climbs is about 2 hours, not including any waiting time. A warning: after 2 or 3 days of bad weather, overcrowded and queues in the circuit will be very likely. From this point of view, to make the Sella Ronda day safer and advisable and Saturday.
You may wish to turn clockwise (explanation in orange) or counterclockwise (seen in green).
The most spectacular of the entire route is crossing the picturesque "Stone city", not because of the track, which is almost flat, as for the beautiful landscape. Cross it directly with the route or counterclockwise, with a brief detour, with that time (it comes back with the ski lift Sassolungo).
Council clockwise because it avoids the long climb from Corvara to Dantercepies (6 plants in a row without a descent).
In both routes, you must not miss the climb to Porta Vescovo Arabba (beautiful views of the Marmolada and beautiful runs to the village) and famous track Sasslong in Selva, where every year takes place in the race downhill.

Counterclockwise: We travel 15,705 m. with lifts and 22,950 m. of slopes. Total 38 km and 655m.
WISE: We travel 13,518 m. with lifts and 23,100 m. of slopes. Total 36 km and 618m.

San Cassiano

Located in a quiet location, is one of the smaller towns of Alta Badia, but also one of the most characteristic and elegant (it has the highest concentration of 5-star hotels in the Dolomites, accompanied by very famous restaurant is pressed).
The only possibility of access to the Sella Ronda and the whole area is via a chairlift, about 100-200 meters from the center of the country. Also, for those who do not ski, you must use the facilities for achieving beautiful snowfields.
The streets are very elegant, with attractive shops and cafes, the only negative is the free movement of cars, in a walk in the mountains is ruining the environment and the lungs
In summer, a few hours the center is closed to traffic, a solution that should be taken much more often.
Except in the luxurious 5 star hotel accommodation and apartments are cheaper than in Corvara.
With a few minutes drive or a walk of about 2 km, you can reach the charming town Armentarola, immersed in an enchanting natural and immaculate, with beautiful stretches of snow surrounded by pine forests, where you can run with the sled in long and lonely descent

Corvara

The primary location of Alta Badia, the most popular and famous in spectacular location at the foot of Sassongher is here that there is a wider choice for overnight, although prices are very high.
The ski runs practically through the country, with several lifts that leave directly from the hotel complexes and the center. The slopes of the district are easy and often lonely, difficult to code facilities, except those that connect the locality with the Sella Ronda. Do not miss the track "Gran Risa" in La Villa, the slope of the giant men's World Cup.

Selva Val Gardena

From Alta Badia, crossing the Sella Pass, we reach the beautiful and unspoilt Val Gardena, Selva is the most important for skiing, the center of the Sella Ronda.Anche here as in Corvara tracks across the country, and Sometimes these roads are passable on skis. Countless opportunities to leave the country "skis" to reach the highest peaks and famous, as Dantercepies or Ciampinoi.
In the center of town is also an ideal area for children, with short and easy ski lifts and an area where you can play in absolute safety in the snow.
