This year to celebrate my birthday we decided to give us a wonderful weekend on Lake Maggiore, trying to satisfy the desires of all we studied an itinerary suitable to the needs of our little Matthew! From Genoa in the morning, the first leg of our mini vacation will Pombia with its zoo and amusement park (little hint at the zoo you can download the coupon to get the reduced fee). At the Zoo Pombia animals are free or nearly and visit or on board the car or on a train departing at fixed times (2 euros per person), Matthew naturally opted for the train. The visit was very interesting we saw many animals like rhinos, hippos, the Siberian tiger, lions, giraffes, and finally to treat two rare examples of white lions. The race ended in the train "tactile farm" where they collected various barnyard animals like cows, donkeys, geese, pigs, etc. There was also a small riding pony with different course and Matthew wanted to do a few laps too. Near the stables is a location where various shows are made with the birds, I must say that this part we liked so much because we just got to see up close very beautiful birds like hawks, condors, owls and an eagle. Continuing our journey we arrived at the dinosaur park, aquarium and reptile house. In the park there are several dining areas and play and it took several hours to be able to visit everything. For the night we booked a room at the hostel in Verbania, much more than honorable solution for those seeking a central location and clean at a fair price. http://www.ostelloverbania.it/ The hostel is located in a beautiful detached house a few hundred meters from Villa Taranto in Verbania we visited the next morning, a visit to the park takes about 1 ½ hours and the price the ticket costs 9 euros. The park is really cool and collected many species of plants and flowers with different bloom at different times of the year. http://www.villataranto.it/
walk in the park was very pleasant and relaxing only negative the ticket a little expensive but considering the tremendous work of gardening that is done is totally unacceptable. After the visit we head to Villa Taranto Stresa where we planned to visit the beautiful Villa Pallavicini http://www.parcozoopallavicino.it/
Also here is a little expensive ticket 9 euros, the main peculiarity of the villa and of course the beautiful lake view is the presence of a beautiful farm where children can come and touch the animals. In Matthew we liked very much caressed with goats, llamas and even a fawn. Besides the animal park is a beautiful garden and rose garden and a fully equipped playground, picnic areas and for those who want a train that leads to Stresa
