A weekend in Gaeta... Lazio, Italy
We found accommodation in a three-star hotel on the sea via the internet 'named Serapo hotel and we paid only € 230 for four in two nights. The first day we visited the old town that has a little disappointed. The next day we went to visit the beautiful village of Sperlonga and then always there next we saw the remains of the villa of 'Roman emperor Tiberius, with tanks for the' rearing of trout attached. The third and last day we went to Mount Orlando, a nature reserve. Inside there are several sites, but the most striking are the broken and the mountain cave of turkish. It is said that when Jesus died, the mountain is split in two and the two sides match perfettamente.Intorno 1500 turkish a tourist, not believing the true story leaned his hand on the rock wall as a sign of contempt. Then happened that the fuse rock and even today one can see the 'trace of the hand. Instead of turkish cave is a cave where you accaede both by sea and by ua down steep stairs. In the afternoon we went to the beach of Gaeta where I did the first bath of the season. To eat is strongly to go to the pizza restaurant "La Lampara" Buonomo in 29, near the seafront. This is economicissimo and local food (especially pizza) are really good.
