A weekend in Spoleto and Piediluco Lake in Umbria, central Italy

(Distance from home 161 km). Surprise for my birthday. Best surprise could only be a weekend in a place that I bet for some time. Spoleto is really nice: small, quiet and relaxed as most of Umbria. Very nice the rock where it is incredible to hear that until a few years ago in this spectacular building there was a prison, surely one of the most beautiful places where one could be detained by force! Very beautiful the cathedral and the bridge towers. Wonderful food that I personally love in all its forms and tastes. On the way back small and pleasant stop on the shores of Lake Piediluco. Thoroughly recommended. Good trip
