Altamura and the Federician Cathedral. Puglia, Italy
Località: AltamuraRegione: Puglia Stato: ITALY (IT)
Altamura is a town of 67,599 inhabitants in the province of Bari
It is known for producing a typical type of bread, made from semolina durum wheat flour, which has received the trademark DOP (of origin) and is marketed in many parts of Italy.
Puglia also famous for its fine cathedral Frederick, successful synthesis of many styles and successive layers over time. Located in the heart of the Murge has a relatively mild climate in summer and that is why we have chosen for an evening stroll to escape the heat of late July. The old town is elegant and well-kept town and certainly worth a visit. From Bari can be reached by road SS96 but is not defined quiet throughout its journey.
