At 2700 mts in a tent!

Day 1 Saturday 28 August 2004
arrive by car from Milan and leave the car in large parking lot which is located at the base of the refuge. A foot reach the Pizzini hut with a beautiful escursine simple with little slope.
Tents placed just 30 minutes before sunset because it is the rule of nature. Prepare dinner with our equipment from the field and then a nice warm and the wine of the refuge.

Day 2 Sunday 29 August 2004
The alarm clock is pointing to 4:00, and we get up it is still night, the ice sheet between the outer and the inner tent. With the front folded and clean everything. Meanwhile we see the lights of climbers who start the road salis. Let the material at the shelter to make the climb. Our group, however, is uneven and the delay is significant. We arrive in the last climb in late and began to sleet. The group is divided: those who would continue and those who did not hear and would like to go back. In the end, a few meters from the refuge Casati (3269 mt), according to the walk on the glacier will retreat back to all Pizzini. From the latter watching the beautiful glacier on which we had to climb with some 'regret.
Perhaps for this reason that I can not enjoy the fine chopping of meats and wine at the shelter before returning to Milan.
