Cruising Sardinia with the motorbike. Travel in Italy
OLBIA - DORGALI
as planned, we head straight for the east coast, we fill petrol and go see the sea at Porto Istana, the water was calm and clear in front of us we saw the island of Tavolara, the temptation to do bath was strong but we share through the villages of San Teodoro, Budoni, Posada cute it all gathered on a hill and come to the beach of Capo Comino, where we refresh and take some rest. In the afternoon we reach Dorgali where we had booked our campground, we mount our tent and go for a ride before dinner at Cala Gonone
DORGALI - BARISARDO
Morning wake up early dismantle the tent and load our bikes, we are going to cross the pass Genna (1017 m asl), a road that traverses the realm of the shepherds of supramonte, really lovely and evocative one of the most beautiful of this holiday, we travel about 50km in total seclusion so then a long descent brings us to the first Urzulei town, stop at a little bar on the road and then off through the villages of Tortoli, Arbatax Barisardo come to the beach, specifically the tower of Bari, really beautiful large beach, coarse sand like grains of rice a reddish color and deep blue sea, divided in half by a small rocky headland on which stands the seventeenth-century tower that gives it its name. Relaxing day at the beach and overnight at the Beach Camp.
COSTA REI
it stands so well in this camp in Costa Rei we decide to stop here another day .....
COSTA REI - CARBONIA
Let us resume the morning, travel our goal today would be the area of Pula, then the way to go is a lot, as always, follow the road of beautiful coastline and scenic but more particularly of past traffic in the Cagliari area where the chaos and smog reign, through the village of Pula, Nora and stop only at Cape Spartivento where there are beaches that I had heard, the first we see is Cala Cipolla white sand and rocks still protected by a barrier of pine and Mediterranean and being bounded by two headlands of granite seems like a natural swimming pool, only it was affollattisima sin, much more beautiful beaches of Chia, long, sand and sea really crystal clear, sand dunes twenty meters high topped with juniper trees. .. really enchanted. Continue the journey to get to where we find a complex Carbonia agritourism "pedra del Sol" very nice and where you eat divinely
ISOLA DI S.PIETRO
In today's program we have the Isle of S.Pietro, we resume our bike this time stripped of all bags and headed Sant'Antioco, an island because the island is connected by bridge to Sardinia, we make a turn in the harbor and then a tour of the island by bike, then reach Calasetta S.Pietro where we take the ferry, the trip is short sonon about 20/30 minutes and landed Carloforte the only town on the island, very nice and picturesque with a beautiful square where overhanging trees, surrounded by two large benches, the island is very small, are about 50kmq laps in a short time we all stop to make nice photos in Cala Crescent, which is a stretch of coast characterized by cliff overlooking the crescent-shaped beach .. then we find a small beach and there we stay until the time of reentry.
CARBONIA - BOSA
In the morning we continue the journey north, as usual scenic route we pass the rock Sugarloaf, a natural wonder stands in the sea to a height of 132mt and owes its name formaarrotondata and its white color that contrasts with the red of the coast, and we share a few photos through the area around a pass for Buggerru Arbus and Dali would like to visit the famous dunes of Piscinas, finding it was not easy but eventually we got there we rushed towards Ingurtoso a sort of abandoned mining village we were doubtful it was the right way but eventually we got there, a 6km long beach characterized by its high dunes, it seemed we remain fascinated by the desert ... will be a haven for our bike after this short break, back on the bike and not drop figs do not reach Bosa, here we look for a campsite (there only one and even ugly) and assemble exhausted our tent for the night
BOSA - SANTA TERESA DI GALLURA
Even today the road is so much to do, the holiday is almost over and we have yet to complete the tour, we start from the first stage is lanostra Bosa and Alghero, n'antica Catalan city still surrounded by ancient walls, parked our bikes and take a stroll through the old town full of people and shops and eat a sandwich off again .. next stop Castelsardo, an ancient and beautiful medieval village all gathered on a rocky promontory which slopes overlooking the Gulf of Asinara We stopped in a park to rest and then distributed to the vault of heaven where Costa give us a bath on the rocks. . is a sudden everything seems very characteristic built for tourism all the same red-brick .. very nice and certainly not for everyone ... the day ends in Santa Teresa di Gallura on the campsite "the Liccia".
SANTA TERESA DI GALLURA - GOLFO ARANCI
Today, our goals are the much vaunted Porto Cervo and Porto Rotondo, very nice for charity, but really its just preposterous we can pass, we stop a while in a small beach, a little stroll through the narrow streets of Porto Rotondo Golfo Aranci and then reaches where we find a distinguished spend the night.
