We will never stop thanking TerraRussa.it, but mainly that Ariana was able to grasp our needs, we offer an apartment for 6 to Torre San Giovanni in the province of Lecce, without us spending a fortune. Our budget was not high, so that we decided to look for accommodation near Gallipoli, and Torre San Giovanni we saw that it was far cheaper and just 10 minutes from Gallipoli. We left by car from Bologna, nearly 9 hours of travel, but it was worth it, Salento has been an enchanting place.

 

Arrival in Salento

When we arrived at Marina di Alliste, we were surprised dall''intensità with which the sea turns red, accompanying the sun was setting, we wanted to stop on the rocks to enjoy what eventually became a daily appointment.
Although exhausted from the trip, so we had a great desire to taste the flavors of Salento, after a shower on the flight, we went to eat all'Octopus there and we did not miss anything, from raw seafood, the linguine with seafood, all 'peppered mussels: the flavors really hard to forget.

Discovering Gallipoli

We woke up slowly, with a great desire to taste the coffee pasticciotti Sea: a breakfast in front of the sea is what it takes to wake up with a smile. We moved to Gallipoli: After ending a bath, we went to explore the city. Do not miss the old town with its narrow streets and the trip to the island of St. Andrew. Porto Cesareo

We had already contacted the diving center of Porto Cesareo to make a dive: more shocking surprises that you can reserve the sea, if they discover in its depths. The show

We wanted to stay in the area to go to the beach in Lido Pizzo, while in the evening we went to listen to Casarano and Marco Paolini Mercanti di Liquore: not just food, this is Salento.

We woke up with a new desire for breakfast overlooking the sea, this was a day dedicated to Otranto and its narrow streets, the Grotto of Zinzulusa, Puerto Badisco and we discovered some wonderful quarries Bauxite, with its color matches that border on the unbelievable.

Finally... Disco!!

A new day at the beach, a long drink at Solatio to spend the night at Cotriero to Gallipoli, where we could see the sea first at a concert of a local group and then we let loose with the disk.

The departure
