Decide to leave alone for a little trip to the Tuscan capital ... City beautiful, interesting and rich in art.
I would say that 4 days are enough to visit it.

First day

In early December Alessandra and I decide to go to visit Florence ... booked the hotel and the train and the day before departure is sick ... fever and sore throat ... How to give up ?.... I would say no ... and so I decide to leave alone.
We found this hotel online surfing ... is called Lombard Hotel www.hotel-lombardi.net. The price for this period is 80 € per room including breakfast and I would say that is not bad, counting the fact that it is close to the train station.
I went to the 9:00 Eurostar train from Milan central station, arrive promptly at 11.44, the total ticket purchased online € 72.50
The hotel is not bad is right near the station and is located in a building on the first floor with elevator. The rooms have everything you need, bathroom TV and minibar included. In the lobby there is also a PC with the ability to access the internet. The rooms are 15 each with the name of an artist I had the room Titian ..
The staff is nice, I just got told once that I was alone and made me a discount and last night they asked me if I wanted the single that is released .... I agreed and at the end for three nights with breakfast I paid € 190.
Arrival at the hotel, hurry up the paperwork and get ready to leave. Also via the internet I booked a ticket to the Galleria dell'Accademia: The number to call is 055. 2654321 or via the website www.firenzemusei.it credit card, you will choose the day and time. The price of the ticket and 6.50 € and booking costs 3 €.
I recommend the book because there are really many tourists especially on Saturday and Sunday. Fortunately I have not found code and if I would find the overridden but not because I'm rude but because I had booked ...
The Galleria dell'Accademia I liked a lot .. especially for him ... the king of the museum: the David of Michelangelo, the boys is a wonderful ... perfect in every detail ... statue dominates the room and as soon as you see it, everything else you do not see more, which is a shame because There are also other works of value ... You are right my guide (Lonely Planet of course) who writes "... then in 1882 moved to the Galleria dell'Accademia to be placed in a specially constructed niche that does not do justice to this masterpiece, however, that deserves. "
In this room all is silent ... only talk about him, David.
Output satisfied by the Gallery to continue my route to the Cathedral of St. Maria del Fiore. Majestic and imposing, with the beautiful dome by Brunelleschi, ... are the 17 but can not log in, the vastness of the aisles is even afraid ... And as you approach the dome will amaze all ... it's wonderful, I wonder breed of genes have lived before us ... And 'portrayal of the universal opinion. The church then there is the chance to see the crypt and go up the dome, but now it's late and everything back tomorrow. I leave the church, I make several photographs and I head to Piazza della Signoria, a short distance. The square is not large but is full of people who buy souvenirs made the picture ... and looks around curiously.
I go up to the Loggia della Signoria and Palazzo Vecchio, the photos do the copy of David of course, since I can not do it at the original one ... Go ahead and get to the Uffizi ... beautiful building to U, a visit here is booked for tomorrow. I reach the riverside and you can see several bridges and remain intrigued by the Ponte Vecchio ... I can say that it is nothing special? I thought to find what and who knows ... but I think the only interesting thing about the bridge is the Vasari Corridor.
So I go back to the hotel to make the route the next day.

Second Day

Wake up early enough, breakfast and off we go to visit the city, you start with S. Maria Novella, but it is under renovation, too bad. I want to visit the Museum of the Bargello where he kept the other famous David, the one by Donatello. Here I have not booked and luckily I found code, because it's early .. Later, the ticket costs 4 €. There are two floors and there are early works by Michelangelo. On the first floor there is the hall of the General Council where there are two works depicting the David di Donatello, the least famous of these is a marble while the latter is in bronze, unfortunately you can not see well because it is being renovated. However you can enjoy the same view that was set up a field of its restructuring in the lounge. There is also a screen where you can see the renovation work live. It 'very curious and fascinating.
I do note, however, a negative for this museum, the staff ... there was quite insistent and rude to a gentleman who kept asking questions to which I did not want to answer and I walked away ... but he persisted until he told me one thing: "Miss, if you want to make images, can be done here, there's nobody, and I let him" Do you realize ?!?!.. I of course I have not listened and I have gone ... they are just out of the museum ... He does everything to preserve our art and then there are those people who ruin crazy.
Anyway I went out of them because I had a reservation at the Uffizi 12.00. For those who have booked tickets must go to the opposite side entrance to the entry itself, here you are given a ticket and then you can enter. The ticket I paid 10 € because there is a temporary exhibition which deals with Neapolitan painting, and of course the 3 € booking.
One thing that I did not say is that in every museum there is a check to the metal detector so if you have keys, phone or other sure to leave them in the basket before passing the door.
The Uffizi are really beautiful, I have shot them all, room by room, working to opera ... From Leonardo to Botticelli, Caravaggio (artist who took the name from my town, some say he was born here in Milan ... others do not will ever know) to Roubens ... and many many other fabulous artists. A word of advice not just look at the paintings and statues ... look even ceilings.
Do not list works because otherwise it becomes more boring than it already ..
After I enjoyed the spectacle of the Uffizi, I go to climb the dome of the Duomo. There is a dedicated input to the left side of the Duomo, the input costs 6 € and take good care there are 464 steps to be done, I thought I would not make it but I was really good ... It takes you 10-15 minutes then depends on the preparation Athletics everybody ... I would say that mine is very poor ... During the climb you go even inside the dome and you can see up close the wonderful fresco of the Last Judgment ... when you reach the top the view is breathtaking as they say, you see all Florence and fortunately it was a beautiful sunny day ...
I know that you can climb the bell tower also always with 6 € but I think it is better ... because the dome is higher and the view is broader.
Without all the pictures of the ritual, and before I go back into the church, I want to see the crypt which is immediately entered on the right. The ticket price is 3 € and you can see the remains found in the church of Santa Reparata the fifth century. It is also the tomb of Brunelleschi.
Departure from the cathedral head for another important church Santa Croce, a short distance.
The ticket costs 5 €, you enter and in the church you can admire several graves of famous people like Michelangelo, Galileo, Rossini and Foscolo.
In addition to the church you can visit the cloisters and a museum where they kept some frescoes by Giotto.
I'll be back at the hotel exhausted, after the shopping ...

Third Day

Even today you get up early, today's destination: Palazzo Pitti.
Here I have booked, you get to walk past the old bridge. You are in front of a huge palace. The ticket office is on the right. Looking at the prices I think twice before entering ... There are two types of tickets one for the palace itself and one for the Gardens of Boboli. So the first ticket includes: Galleria Palatina, the royal rooms and the Gallery of Modern Art in more than a temporary exhibition of Filippo Napoletano. The cost of 12.00 €. The second ticket includes: Silver Museum, Boboli Gardens, the Costume Gallery, Museum of porcelain and a temporary exhibition of Francesco Furini. Ticket price: 10 €. For a total of 22.00 €.
If I were asked to return I would say no ... but not for the cost of the ticket but because I found it interesting, the only beautiful rooms are those of the Palatine Gallery (where a painting by Caravaggio but it is on display at Forlì) and real rooms. The Boboli Gardens are not that great ... you are beautiful but not as I imagined them, but then everything is personal taste. Tip: Take just the ticket for the palace.
This is the Florence I have seen, unfortunately I have not visited San Miniato me because my legs do not have permission ...
