Angera: Lungolago and Rocca Borromeo

Angera is a location not too famous Lake Maggiore, located on the east side on the Lombardy side.
It was a beautiful and pleasant discovery Angera to go and discover that the place is very beautiful, especially live on Long Lake and tourism, Lake itself gives a touch more especially in the beautiful sunny days, but the small town atmosphere.
Along the lake you can see the Rocca Borromeo perched on a hill overlooking the town, there is a boat to sail with the various vaporetti the lake and there are plenty of attractions, from the many restaurants and bars with a base of trees and benches beautiful green meadows near the central square.
The meadows are municipal, well kept, clean, pretend beaches on the shores of the lake, in fine weather (like yesterday), people crowded on the green lawns of Angera and bask in the sun with spectacular views of the lake shore sullaltra and lake itself.
The only thing that is short on Sundays Angera tourist car parks, mostly priced or along the lakeside road, not very reassuring.
After visiting the fortress, we stood on the lake and after a parking lot at the last minute we had lunch in an outdoor restaurant by the lake, the day was warm and beautiful.
We then did a walk in squares, gardens, promenades, Arona dallaltra views of the lake and sky blue.
Behind the lake, the rocky hill houses the Rocca Borromeo that view from the bottom of the lakefront is very nice, then we arrived to the famous and beautiful lawns of the lakeshore, where families and children were laid out in the sun enjoying the warmth dellultimo first dellinverno.
These lawns are beautiful, unattrazione lend very well to specific photographs. Green, clean and well kept are a strange and reaching into the water. The waters of the lake is dark green grass and access these contrast with the dark water and the reflections of the sun on the lake.
A marina is just below and a square top walkway sullacqua can walk and admire all the boats and Lake dallalto. Wax in a market square and some allaperto stand of cakes and ice cream.
Several rooms on the lake with outdoor, one after laltro and here you can eat any type of meal from morning to night.
Angera can also be reached by boat from Arona to navigation of the lake just 5 minutes. Then going north, we discovered municipal sand beaches, fields and communal barbecue days allar open for bathing beaches, green spaces packed with people. Angera was truly a beautiful discovery!
Lungolago then you can admire the beautiful old buildings, ancient and elegant villas, houses of nobility and old stucco.

The fortress stands on a rock on the lake maggiore, Angera to, the right side of the lake shore lombarda .... from below one sees the already very good and the owners.
Parking is ample, in the midst of the countryside, meadows, vineyards and hills you will find the entrance to the fortress.
7.50 euros per head to visit freely both in internal and external, or a doll museum and toy, courtyard, rooms of the fortress, towers and upper floors with views of the lake, the garden show.
We have entered at 10:45 a.m. and after a climb lined with chestnut trees we arrived at the entrance to the courtyard. You can make a visit with audio information at the counter but there was nobody inside when we entered our audio ... then nothing!
It 'amazing terrace with balcony overlooking the lake, with green trellis and windows on the lake maggiore, veduta guaranteed. From the outside you can also go to the bar of the fortress.
We went to see first the frescoed rooms of the fortress, the interior and the various towers and the upper floors which is accessed through a system of wooden stairs that give access to some external views is really spectacular on the lake than on the surrounding countryside.
Arrived at the top you will arrive at a practically large attic with windows outside and the view here is truly remarkable, other openings on each side of the high square tower and views of Arona and other villages of the lake.
You can go up there half an hour.
On the way back we visited the museum of dolls and antique toys, a nice museum, with significant exposure to unique and Stoics, retrieved from who knows where the relics''800, porcelain dolls, dolls with disturbing those without visible smiles and eyes of blacks on the pale face.
Games in different windows to be admired. I even saw some games that I had as a child or long and I came to the lump in my throat ... but are already so old? My child is already "museum "?????
The exhibition is pleasant and cheerful But most disturbing dolls ....
I made several pictures in both external and interior, there were no signs of prohibition for photographs, the fortress is in excellent condition and lends itself well to make photographs that really the best.
The garden of the fortress is open to a little piece up on the lake, there are some herbs, persimmon trees, citrus fruits, vines ..... green.
The garden is easy to see and is not very "royal", a fountain and a statue clearly restored, as much of the fortress.
Really worth visiting as it is very well preserved and some views are unique to say the least, especially with a beautiful sunny day.
Just below the fortress, in the hill there is a farm which in fact drew me ....... then ended on the lakefront of Angera and thank goodness!
At the fortress there is also a small souvenir shop on average provided.

Statue of San Carlo Borromeo: Arona

The whole content not seen the time to enter the head of San Carlone and from there to see the lake area, Arona, and everything that is wonderful to see from so high .....
We parked in the parking lot of a restaurant that was near them and the free parking in front of the statue is a fee.
San Carlone is clear from the bottom, you can see from the road leading up to the hamlet of San Carlo by Angera.
High, green, metal, on an already high base per se, the San Carlone is famous and visited by millions of people each year. You pay a ticket varies depending on what you want to do, if you just want to go on the roof terrace at the foot of the statue you pay less, if you want to enter the statue and climb up the steep staircase fin on the head of San Carlo and from there to admire the view then you pay more ......
Yesterday, a technical problem led to the ventilation and all 'lighting did not allow the ascent fin ..... Go on the balcony view is nice but you never go as far into the head of the San Carlone.
We are still satisfied, and through a narrow spiral staircase from dizziness until we got to the foot of the statue, a few photos and some 'admiration for the area below us and then ...... we are down. Clearly disappointed!
We were not sure the only ones pale faces could be seen in front of the cashier and the lawn around the statue ... climb into the San Carlone is attractive and famous used to Arona and neighbors.
5 Euros to get access to the terrace of San Carlone: Too expensive to say!
Outside some souvenir stalls selling a little of everything but I was too sad for not being able to climb inside the statue ..... and so ... way to Biella!
