(Distance from home 303 km). First trip to complete company of women: an ordeal to be overcome for those who were accustomed to wander in the company of fanatics in search of fun certainly not motivated by the desire to travel. The result was very positive too because this was followed many others and others will follow. Although a start had been a disaster: the dawn of a cold morning departure, arrived at Rome's Tiburtina station, our train was delayed for 4 hours! But we do not lose heart and then we go to the Termini station where you change tickets (thus losing the seat reservation) but our train is still late and packed and arrive in Florence by more than 6 hours late on the roadmap . But we do not lose heart: Florence is under the snow, something that happened a long time and who happened to see it can only be seized even more of this wonderful city. Florence is a masterpiece of living, where you find places where time has stood still as the Holy Cross or the famous Piazza della Signoria. The beauty of the city you feel better walking with no destination for downtown streets and discover fascinating new angles, squares and monuments, stunning overtime. Just visited Piazza del Duomo is a feeling that the dome is resting there as a wonderful choreography: it's hard to believe that the wonder is true. The streets were filled with colored cows that gave a cheer in the gray dictated by the weather. The Uffizi Gallery is a wonderful thing for those who do not like us is a passionate art: costudisce treasures such as Botticelli's Venus, the noise just to say what most struck me and I remember viosto the extent of colelzioni. Absolutely not to be missed: the Uffizi, the Duomo, Giotto's bell tower on the hill, the church of San Lorenzo, Ponte Vecchio in Florence and the incomparable masterpiece!
