Spring afternoon across the city.. Italy
Taking advantage of the beautiful first Sunday of spring and accepting the invitation of the FAI to discover the most hidden corners of our city, we enter in the oldest part of Bari near dle harbor and consists of a maze of alleys style "casbah" Eastern Europe. As in Arab neighborhoods here too there are shops with goods and in the square entrance to the village, an industrial area of pubs and clubs of every kind of type. Above all we gained from the gardens of houses in sight, true hidden gems and the smaller churches, that are worth visiting on the occasion of Holy Thursday when every church is competing to be the most beautiful in exposure of the SS. Sacramento. From the area we move into the old center, corso Vittorio Emanuele viistare for an exhibition hosted by the Prefecture building, a former stately convent acquired by Ferdinand de Bourbon in 1812 and by the prefectural office in Italy. From the waterfront we go to St. George, a franzioncina of Bari where we see a small cove occupied by fishing boats. For fall we buffete push north and take the SS16, Modugno and leave to continue along the former SS98 to Bitonto, a major agricultural center some 19 km from Bari.La Romanesque cathedral and the bishop's palace, the theater recently restored course affected by a series of cars are the object of our attention, as well as a bakery that offers a low price (60 Eurocent) shells of tasty, sweet pastry filled with chantilly cream. Definitely a beautiful Sunday in spring!
