September 6: Punta Falcone
In the morning we decide to explore the tip Falcone (the name comes after the tower which dominates), we are from the beach Pelosa, arrived at the top we head towards the west, walking on stony paths, bordered, at times, from very low maquis arrive in the western part of the peninsula
Arriving at the sea, we see the steep rocky coast, we see the beaches, only steep slopes and cliffs, the scenery is very charming, the sea is a deep blue color, in fact are the same characteristics of the peninsula, the east side characterized sandy beaches on the western side by high rocks that are thrown to the sea.
September 8: Asinara
We arrive at 9 in Porto Mannu, the new port of Stintino, where the boats depart for Asinara, we had trouble because we had not embark made any reservation booked fortunately some have not submitted.
The price of the ticket 36 euros a head includes the step up to the port of Fornelli all'Asinara
and a guided tour of the bus (with air conditioning), the crossing takes about 20 minutes.
The tour starts from Fornelli, and with the arm of former maximum security prison.
On the island there is also the Center for the Recovery of the Turtles (visit free).
The island is a nature park, almost uninhabited, in the past used a high-security prison, which we visit, then continue towards Cala D'Oliva, through a pristine nature with a very diverse vegetation, typical and sometimes rare shrubs in Mediterranean flora , we stop in many places, we meet horses, wild goats, donkeys white and gray only to find them back, the guide provides clear explanations and extensive, admire magnificent landscapes, beautiful bays, the eastern part is full of coves where anyone dream of take a bath, while the western part is rocky and steep.
We reach the small town of Cala D'Oliva where we have another bus (4 euros per head, the optional extension), which leads us through a narrow dirt road to Cala Sabina, a beautiful beach, surrounded by an incredible landscape, where there stop a few hours.
We do a nice swim in the crystal clear sea of dreams.
Return to Cala D'Oliva, where we visit another arm resigned prison, I have the impression that this paradise is about to end, in fact, there is also the possibility of staying in a guesthouse with twenty beds, but has already provided expansion to 70 seats, I would not want it to be the beginning of the end ... ... ... ... ... ... ...
Return to the bus and Fornelli way we are lucky to see the small white and gray donkeys (adults are about 1 m high) that scorazzano freely and leave our sight, li fotografo by bus.
At approximately 17 boarding Stintino
